Not worth the trip and the beach entrance fee. Be aware that there is a Marina and said to be nice view restaurant on the same island, maybe something else, but we only went to the beach #1 as this was the only one open (later we discovered other places to swim in the Canyon Lake, much better and for free). As for non-locals, this beach was rather disappointing. Beach access definitely requires some kind of footwear, but there's nowhere a single word posted about it. We paid $10 to enter just to end up with feet full of little spikes from some crippling plant. The lake bottom here also calls for feet protection - clay with large gravel and occasional shells. Water was great, lake was shallow, but I would not return there and wouldn't recommend to others. Try Overlook area, or look for other...

This park has a lot of potential. We went to this park on 4 of July to celebrate a very inprtant day for us. But the park was under construction and so the parking was chaotic. One side of the parking was closed and the top are was under new construction with some new ammeneties. They do charge for everything. Standing on the grass with your cooler $25.00, going through the water shoot $5.00 dollers, entering the park with tube $3.00 dollars. So my question is this why am I paying for a service I am not fully getting? So be careful if your going, take money or you are not going to have fun. Oh also 10dollars or so for parking. So overall I rather go to Austin natural water hole and they have changing tables a d very...

Clean, but the cost totally defeated everything about the park. Park clearly was not busy. Park Ranger aggressive when explained fees and trying to charge us for the extra $25 since we didnt know you have to pay just to sit next to your already paid table. First and last visit for sure. For 1 day paid $70 for 1 picnic table, to sit around the picnic table off the concrete slab and parking per car. To even get in the river with a float without floating down river is additional $2 plus another $2 for air to inflate Each 10x10 area with or without a table is $25. Even if your sitting around your already paid picnic table its additional $25, because considered another possible reserved space. Plus $20...

The parking fee is unreasonably high for a PUBLIC park at $33 after taxes and convenience fees and the nearest cheap/free parking is a mile walk from the park. This was super disappointing to find after driving 40 minutes to this spot and not to mention inaccessible for disabled people or people who cannot afford a premium $30 parking spot. Walking nearly a mile in 95°+ weather is also not feasible for many people who come to cool down by the river. They also charge $25 per picnic for groups and have rangers walking around collecting fees. Very disappointing to see that yet another city has chosen to be greedy and price gouge our PUBLIC parks instead of keeping them accessible for ALL.

I came here with my 1 year old and 5 year old. I love that there was an area that was shallow enough for the kids to play comfortably, as well as a deeper area for my husband and I to swim freely. They have life jackets available and a bathroom which was really nice. We went down the tube chute a few times too which was really fun to do with the littles since we didn’t want to float the whole river. This was a great place to access the river! So pretty too ! 😍
