Not worth the trip and the beach entrance fee. Be aware that there is a Marina and said to be nice view restaurant on the same island, maybe something else, but we only went to the beach #1 as this was the only one open (later we discovered other places to swim in the Canyon Lake, much better and for free). As for non-locals, this beach was rather disappointing. Beach access definitely requires some kind of footwear, but there's nowhere a single word posted about it. We paid $10 to enter just to end up with feet full of little spikes from some crippling plant. The lake bottom here also calls for feet protection - clay with large gravel and occasional shells. Water was great, lake was shallow, but I would not return there and wouldn't recommend to others. Try Overlook area, or look for other beaches instead.
