As a frequent shopper and business owner, I have had the opportunity to visit various office supply stores over the years. However, Office Depot has consistently stood out among them all, and a significant part of this is due to their exceptional staff. The customer service at Office Depot is unparalleled. They truly understand the essence of 'customer is king' and go the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction. I have had instances where items were out of stock, but their staff took the initiative to check other branches or even offer to order it for me. Training and development seem to be a top priority at Office Depot. Their staff are continuously updated on the latest products and technologies, which has been incredibly beneficial when I needed advice on upgrading my office equipment. This is my second 1-star review for this store within the last three weeks. I tried to put through an online order for a $200 HP toner cartridge and the charge did not go through. So I came physically into the store to buy the toner cartridge and was told it was out of stock and was sent to the Harahan store where there were plenty of this model number. I went to Harahan and bought the cartridge, then a day later I got an email saying that my order had finally gone through and was available for pick up at the Carrollton Avenue store. I called the store today and the manager was not able to get my order number right although I gave it slowly and distinctly multiple times. She kept telling me there were supposed to be nine digits and I was giving her nine digits, but somehow she wasn’t capable of understanding that. After she finally found my item ready for pick up, I was told that I could either come in the store and return it for credit or wait seven days and it would be automatically credited. When I complained to her that after being on the phone with her for 15 minutes, she had not once expressed any “I’m sorry for the mixup” or “l’m sorry for not transcribing the order number correctly.” No apology of any kind! She told me that I hadn’t given her a chance to apologize (after I had spent 15 minutes on the phone with her) and curtly told me to either come in or wait seven days — and then hung...

If I could choose NOT to give this location ANY stars, that would be more appropriate and accurate! I stopped in on May 9 2023 around 10:15am. I was greeted kindly by the cashier and a couple more employees on the floor. I was killing time before a job interview I was going to have at Mr Ed's Seafood restaurant. I was just wandering the isles. I looked at the daily planners, pens, etc. As I approached the front of the store the cashier asked again if I was just looking. I said yes. She asked again if I needed help finding anything. As I replied "no" for the umpteenth time, a male employee comes up from behind me and states, "I'm sure you got all you could find in that big bag of yours." Clearly implying I have shoplifted already! I asked if he was serious and he said he didn't know but that "security kept calling him about watching me." Now I'm being profiled as a shoplifter because of the size of my Ralph Lauren tote!?!?!!!! I know I didn't have to, but I held my tote open and asked-no then I insisted if he'd like to take a look inside. Oh, NO! He didn't want to do that!!!!! I've never been so insulted and treated like common trash BEFORE IN MY ENTIRE LIFE!!!! I AM FURIOUS!!! I'd like to know how I was looking so suspicious??? I live close to this Office Depot. I'LL TELL YOU ONE THING. ..I WILL NEVER SPEND MY MONEY IR SHOP AT ANY OTHER OFFICE DEPOT LOCATION AS LONG...
