Home Malone — Local services in New Orleans

Todays visit will be the last visit I make.

I was born and raised in New Orleans and now live out of state. When I come home, Home Malone was always on my visit list. Today, the sales lady was absolutely rude. When I was deciding if I wanted to purchase a picture framed vs unframed, she decided to tell me that it was worth getting framed. I feel like that should be my decision, but whatever, I overlooked it. Then, I said that I may want to frame it myself for customization. She told me "you wont be able to". Excuse me? I have all the equipment at home to do matting and framing. Why can't I? When I mentioned this, she laughed at me. Because of this, I decided not to provide the sale to the store. I was looking at a clay house that caught my eye. I wanted to know the price, so I grabbed it to peek. She shouted from across the store "Be Careful!" when I was hanging it back up. I wasn't having difficulty doing it... I WAS being careful. Am I suddenly a child that needs ti be treated like I'm supposed to look but not touch? Again, another lost sale. I went to another store a few miles away and made similar purchaes because of this. She kept calling me a different name even after telling her my name.

I don't typically get upset over things, but I came to spend money... Don't treat me like I don't have it or that I'm 41 going on 16. Long term customer is forver lost because of this and I will not use this store as a recommend visit to my out of town friends...

This shop is amazing! The business sources work from local independent artists and small businesses. They support my business among 120+ others locally, selling my cards in their shop. Everyone who works there is very sweet, helpful, and kind. They have such great product selection at reasonable prices. Great for gift buying, goodies and decor for your own home. I just got a really fun illustrated NOLA cocktail recipe book online for my stepmom’s birthday and can’t wait to give it to her! Will definitely be back for other birthdays and...
