I recently purchased multiple appliances from AJ Madison totally over 22k dollars. Due to unforeseen issues the installation company that was used couldn’t install any of the 8 items purchased. After several phone calls an angel answered the customer service line by the name of Maria. Needless to say I was beyond irate and unfortunately this young lady took my ranting and raving in stride. After finally taking a breath and trying to explain to Maria everything that was going on, she assured me that she would do everything in her power to see that things get corrected. Did I happened to mention that I was calling from NJ and the appliances were being delivered to a new home I’m building in Florida! Anyway, be the impatient animal I am, I jumped in my truck and drove down to Florida during Easter weekend to see first hand as to why my appliances could not be installed. I contacted Maria again when I arrived at the house because on top of having items not installed and placed all over the house, the double refrigerators that were sitting in my living both had dents in the freezer doors. Maria told me that she would contact the manufacturer to have them send new panels. After letting her know several back and forth phone calls that the issues at the house had been corrected, Maria said that she would have install company return and attempt to install all the units. This young lady went above and beyond what any person working customer service normal does and should be an example for employees at any company. She definitely needs to be in management. She put up with an obnoxious, irate customer (me, sorry!) and never lost her cool. She actually talked me through every step she was taking to resolve all the issues. Bottom line, all appliances were installed professionally by a great crew, new freezer doors delivered overnight and replaced by installers and I called Maria to tell her that I loved her! Lol. AJ Madison don’t ever let that girl get away even after I told her I was regretting purchasing my appliances from your company, she promised to make things right, and delivered on that promise!

The guys that delivered it were in a hurry (parking problems in Manhattan they said as well as the truck breaking down) and buckled the door so it wouldn't close or turn on, as well as scratching our italian tile flooring. This was a closeout item so shouldn't have returnable. After contacting AJ Madison and speaking with Julio and Grace and after some initial hiccups with 3 different groups of service people coming to check out the damage, Grace recommended an upgrade: an end-of-stock Asko dishwasher for a few hundred dollars more. The damaged unit was removed and the new unit installed by superior installers. Unfortunatley, the unit required a wall plug, so the installer charged us for the installation of that - another $150 we weren't expecting. AJ Madison stood by their reputation and name and did the right thing and helped us replace this damaged unit. The shoddy installation was not their fault but I hope they no longer use this particular team for their installations. A special shout out to Grace and Julio for patiently listening to our concerns and helping us arrive at a happy ending. At first, it seemed this was going to be a great experience. I received the quote for my items from Mendy and we scheduled delivery for a future date to be in line with my renovation timeline. After that, the interest in my order became nonexistent. I asked at the time the order was placed how installation would work and was told once the items shipped, the installation would be scheduled for when they arrive. Not only did that not happen, my refrigerator was left in the driveway because the driver said they couldn’t bring it into the house. This was never explained to me by Mendy or an alternative option offered, such as white glove delivery for an extra fee, that I would have gladly paid. We covered the box as best we could with tarps all weekend and prayed it wouldn’t rain. We then had to pay movers to bring it inside, where it has sat for a month awaiting installation. I am grateful to AJ Madison for refunding our fee paid to the movers, but still had to call and follow up because my emails to Mendy about it went unresolved.

I have called numerous times, initially emailing Mendy about it, to which I was told to contact customer service. He didn’t even check back in on it or help move things along. I have had multiple phone calls and emails to both Glenda (customer service rep) and Mendy and no one seems to care. Glenda was helpful at first, then stopped responding to my requests. I couldn’t get her on the phone, despite her giving me her extension and saying she would stay on top of it for me. I even called the general number and spoke to another customer service rep who quickly cut me off once she saw we had been working with Glenda and told me Glenda would call me back. And she never did.

I requested an install date of 7/17 or 7/18 back in May, then again in June, then first of July. They just kept telling me that the installers don’t make the schedule that far in advance and someone would call me 24 hours in advance to confirm. Finally 2 installers showed up midday on 7/17, then told us after 30 minutes that their supervisor called saying they weren’t properly skilled to install our appliances and that they would send another team. What? No one else called me to reschedule. I called the home delivery team used (AM Transportation) twice and waited all day for answers. At the end of the business day, their rep called me to say the installers needed a 3 person team (not 2 that were sent) and that they weren’t qualified to install the panels on our appliances. Not only does the AH Madison order say “do not install panels”, my husband also told them onsite that our cabinet installers are installing the panels. And why would they only send 2 people if they needed 3? Our order confirmation sent by AM Transportation clearly said they were to relocate the appliances to the proper location. They literally just needed to install the appliances. And they also told us that someone will call to reschedule but the appliances won’t be installed by 7/18 either. So now, after begging for these two dates for almost two months, our project will be further pushed off. And seemingly NO ONE at AJ Madison cares.

This was a trial run with this company for my personal renovation before using this company for my business. Thankfully this experience is not with my own customers or I would be fired. I have worked with other companies that sell and install appliances and never had an experience like this. They schedule you well in advance, are very flexible when project dates shift, always do a pre-installation walkthrough a week before to ensure things are ready for install date and deliver appliances inside.

Not AJ Madison! I will NEVER order anything from this company ever again and will be sure to advise anyone I know to do the same. If I could give negative 100...

I ordered a brand new stackable washer and dryer from AJ Madison. Ordering was easy, but everything else has been an absolute disaster other than one customer service rep that quicky refunded fees associated with the install kit. I still don't have a working dryer 4 weeks later. I do not recommend this company if you want a timely response when there are major issues.

Delivery confirmation steps delayed it a week (I would have been happy to provide the info when I placed the order). The install crew had no tools to do the install which I find wild. They installed the venting incorrectly and was an immediate fire hazard. The gas fittings were also installed incorrectly and were another huge fire hazard. We had to wait a week until my own appliance repairman could correct the issues. AND for the best part - the new dryer has a loud knocking sound, leaks gas, and doesn't work! Still waiting for a response from customer service.

Edit 5/20: The washer and dryer were delivered April 10th. The dryer had a knocking sound that didn't sound right. The warranty repair company didn't come out for their expedited repair until May 1st. They determined that a faulty dryer drum was installed. They fixed the dryer May13th, and we were notified of the final appt less than 24 hours before their visit. Their communication around the SLA and the appt process was opaque. The communication from the service technician was brief but included the necessary info post service. It's fine, but it's the bare minimum.

It is an old house and there was a fitting that was unable to be removed at time of install that complicated the issue on my end. It still doesn't change the fact that the installation technicians lacked the training and tools, which limits the quality and safety of their services. This was not communicated at time of purchase that the install crew would possibly not understand fire code or have any tools with them.

I did ask what type of compensation for this issue was available, and once repairs were complete, I would be given an additional 3 yr protection plan on my dryer at no additional cost. I don't think that's of much value considering their expedited repair SLA took a month. This part is still in process.

I appreciate Marina at Customer service being communicative, she checked in quickly and kindly. My issue lies with the standards AJ Madison has as a privately owned corporation and not with any individual employee.

I might buy from AJ Madison again if I absolutely have to, but I won't ever purchase their installation packages or see their warranty as a valuable financial benefit considering it took 3 weeks for the initial repair visit and nearly another 2 weeks to...

People you have been warned! I have never written a review for anything positive or negative in my entire life! I'm way too busy and frankly, way too lazy to take the time to do it. But this fiasco I've been through has finally broken me. I bought a washer/dryer from AJ Madison last July. They installed it on the 22nd of that month. FYI, they do not do the install! They hire a separate company for that. Problem number 1! They installed it. Cut to nine months later, I notice the floors in my laundry closet are starting to buckle. I pull the machines and it turns out the dryer has been shooting water all over my floors for the last nine months! They never installed the drainage hose correctly. I have spent the last three days straight dealing with this problem. I had to miss three days of work and it's still not taken care of. I have been on the phone with half a dozen AJ Madison employees. They sent more repair guys. They get here and finally realize the problem once I show them the set up part of the owners manual. They proceed to tell me I have to call AJ Madison and or Electrolux to get the proper part for them to install. The workers make a call and tell my AJ Madison will call in in fifteen minutes. Three hours later still no call. So I have to call them again. Every time you call you enter into the system and get into another huge hold. I've been on the phone for hours at this point. Every time a get a new person I have to tell the entire story again. To make a long story short. I've missed three days of work, had thousands of dollars of damage done to my floors, made myself insane with AJ Madison bureaucracy, I leave town on Sunday for a month and the problem is it's still not fixed! The craziest thing about all of this is I had to be the one to show the PROFESSIONAL installers how to fix it! I had to send a youtube video to AJ Madison and the installers showing them what is wrong and the part I need for the repair! It's only about $50 worth of parts. If I had the ability to acquire them I could do the repair myself in les than ten minutes! AJ Madison is really good at selling, that is it! They have no idea at all about how to service their machines. Frankly, I don't think they actually care. They've made their money. Imagine buying a car from Ford and then taking back because there is a problem and them saying to you. We don't know how to fix cars! If you want to throw your money away. by all means buy...
