Alice Tully Hall is one of those rare places where everything just feels right. The moment you walk in, you're met with a calm elegance. The staff is consistently kind and composed, offering just the right mix of professionalism and warmth. They don't hover, but they're always there if you need something, and they treat the experience with a quiet sense of pride.
The acoustics are truly exceptional. You can sit anywhere and still hear every note with stunning clarity. There's a depth to the sound that draws you in, whether it's a single instrument or a full chamber ensemble. It’s the kind of space where you don’t just hear the music, you feel it settle into you. It’s not flashy, it’s not showy. It’s just honest, precise, and beautiful.
There’s also something about the room itself. The way the wood panels catch the light, the subtle slope of the seating, the quiet before the performance begins, the extra legroom! It creates a real sense of intimacy. Even in a full house, it never feels crowded. You’re not battling noise or distraction. It’s a space that respects the art, and in turn, invites you to do the same. You find yourself listening more closely, breathing more slowly, and walking out afterward with a stillness that...

It was an older gentleman who was on the first door on the left near X row, of entering the auditorium on 6/23 at around 7pm. Really rude and made me feel belittled because I didn’t know where I was going. Definitely hindered my experience overall and felt judged when I left to the bathroom and saw him and didn’t want to ask him where the bathrooms were out of embarrassment, I asked a different usher and they nicely pointed me to the...
Read moreThis is such an iconic location to come listen to excellent music.
We wanted to see Xian Chang during the Summer for the City event going on these few months.
It was absolutely incredible seeing this massive theater and iconic halls. Every seat has a fantastic view of the area and allows for a perfect experience.
They do have an outside bar where you can buy drinks and snacks.
They don’t do physical programs anymore, however there are QR codes near the doors to allow you to pull up programs for the event going on that night.
I highly suggest coming here if you want to experience a once (or more) in a lifetime musical performance that will take your...
