Black Ink — Attraction in New York

i got two dermals placed. the guy doing them knocked one out on accident while doing the other, then had a hard time getting the jewel on. I wasn't given any care instructions. I lost one due to this, not knowing i couldnt swim. i liked the dermal i had left until i started looking online and noticed that mine is sticking out too far. the dermal is not flush to the skin and it feels frankenstieny. It was like this day one so no, it is not rejecting so far. Im hoping i can get a new top that will hide this. the anchor is also visible under my skin so im pretty sure it wasn't placed deep enough. The jewel has also fallen off three times, so it wasn't tight enough. i asked for a quote on a tattoo and they gave me a price and said to call back when i am ready to have it done.

I REALLY WASNT HAPPY. I SPENT 200 DOLLARS AND PLANNED ON GETTING A 600 DOLLAR TATTOO BUT THE DERMALS I GOT HAD TO BE REMOVED. THEY WERE NOT PLACED RIGHT, THEY WERE NOT FLUSH TO MY SKIN AND DIDNT GET DISCHARGE INSTRUCTIONS SO I WAS UNWARE I COULDNT MGO SWIMMING. BUT THEY WERE NEVER FLUSH TO MY SKIN IN THE FIRST PLACE. THE SECOND ONE I HAD TO HAVE REMOVED BECAUSE EVERYONE KEPT COMMENTING ON HOW BAD IT LOOKED, STICKING OUT SO FAR, AND I DIDNT LIKE IT EITHER. AND IF YOU LOOKED CLOSE YOU COULD SEE THE ANCHOR RIGHT UNDER MY SKIN. REALLY WAS EXCITED ABOUT GOING THERE, I LOVE THE SHOW AND THE CAST BUT IT REALLY PUT A BAD TASTE IN MY MOUTH. I DONT LIVE THERE SO I COULDNT EVEN JUST GO IN AND HAVE THEM REDONE. GUESS ITS A HIT OR MISS WITH BLACK INK....

I NEVER leave reviews but I finally built up the courage to share this.i was extremely heartbroken over this experience I had at Black Ink Brooklyn...I had been looking forward to my birthday to get a cover up tattoo related to my faith. Longgg story short this was the result. I don't understand the lack of enthusiasm Cesar had towards doing my tattoo. I will say I didn't have a particular image already in mind I was looking forward to his expertise and suggestions. I wanted something small to cover up a Gemini sign. (You can still see it a bit in the bottom right side) I spent a great deal of time trying to decide and ultimately had to choose something pretty quickly. So I wasn't too happy w my choice but the final product came out really bad. The rose has no dimension and the lines although suppose to have thorns are very squiggly and it's just a poor job all around. I had high hopes and I honestly didn't know how to feel about my experience. Cesar came off very disinterested and almost bothered w my request. And by all means my intentions is not to bash or throw shade I really considered whether or not to leave this review. But it's worth knowing a customers perspective. Please receive the people w love! Smile when they come in. Try to hear their story, thoughts and ideas about what they're looking for. This is a permanent decision. Thanks for reading. I visited New York and called black ink to get a cover up as me being a tourist I called ahead of time and was told to send a pic of my tattoo that I wanted covered which is just a 5 letter name on my chest. I was told they accept walk ins so I even called before I came that day. When I got there the shop was empty the guy at the desk said he had to see if other artist was coming in and he called the lady in the pic which is the shop manger. He told me she would be there in a few mins so after waiting 1 hour I asked where she was and could he call her again he told me oh traffic is bad she will be here I waited 2 and a half hours for her to show up just to tell me I wouldn’t be getting a tattoo today she said she could probably do a cover up or flowers because it’s quick and easy…. I HATE FLOWERS I don’t have no tattoos of flowers. So I asked if they had any books I could look through to see if I could get some ideas she showed me her iPad with her sketches and the tattoo that I liked she quoted me $700 for the tattoo I was so mad that I had wasted my time coming here when I could have went somewhere else and got tatted my time was not...
