Ok, so I'm not sure how I lived life before A&A. I'll try my best to put it all into words.
My friends go here all the time. They have always spoken highly of A&A. I was always busy or something so I never joined them. They finally caught me on a day when I could, so I did.
We get to the block and I wasn't sure where to go, but then, like a silent ninja made of heavenly aromas and spices, A&A revealed itself. Not knowing what was happening, I found myself inside. My senses going crazy with all manner of pleasure.
Normally, I don't have a reaction to other people eating, but today I stared. Not of how they were eating, but of what they were eating. Never before had I seen such a an amazing composition. I wanted it. I wanted all of it.
I get to the register and I'm greeted by a kind and patient employee. She was so helpful explaining menu items to me. But my ability to speak hadn't returned since the awe of entering. But she knew, I feel like she always knows. I silently held up 2 fingers. She said something about "Peppa", I responded with 1 finger. She knew; 1 with, 1 without. She asked something else, starting to talk now I asked for a cream soda and a peanut punch. She told me my total, I gave money and I received my change. A lot of change. Amazing, all of this amazing smelling and looking food for a reasonable price? I might not leave.
I leave the register and the pleasant lady and find myself a seat. I open my parcels and take a moment to respect what is about to happen.
I set up my area. I open the cream soda and set it aside. I open a double, the one with "Peppa" first. I get a napkin and set it nearby. I take a bite and experience......the moment....
I can't really describe the moment. It was like a mix of "I need to rent a spot in here to live" and "I want to fight myself for not knowing about this". It was like watching someone get the golden buzzer on America's Got Talent. Mixed with John Snow meeting Daenrys Tagarayen.
Complete and utter splendor.
I took my time with this meal, and got up and placed a second order. Part of me wanted to get something to go for my wife and daughter. But I didn't. I was mad at everyone for not bringing me here earlier in my life. Regardless of age.
In summation :
Amazing food, amazing prices, amazingly clean environment. Music is perfect. Staff are respectful and helpful. And because the customers respect everyone so much, even the customers are awesome. I go here often now and have become a known face. They welcome me like we've known each other for years. It's great.
So if you want a one of a kind experience, go to A&A. You won't regret it. You will enjoy it, and you'll want to tell other...
Read moreWent to get some doubles. Asked for chadon beni sauce, they say oh it’s in the channa. We know chadon beni is used to season…does not replace chadon beni sauce. Just say you don’t have! I move on to pay, there’s a fee to pay with credit card so I opt to pay with cash. Cashier says, “$11.50”. Register says $11.49. I pay $12 and she hands me back $0.50. I ask where is my penny, change should be 51cents. She then begins to argue that the total is $11.50. I request the receipt which shows $11.49. She tells me about some weird register math where she needs to round up because I paid with cash and she had to give me a “discount.” None of it made any sense so I ended the argument over this one penny because it sounds ridiculous but as a business how do you argue with a customer over a penny that is rightfully theirs? If you rounding up in your favor whole day it’s adding to your profit and taking away from your customers. The food is not good enough to be arguing with people over because I would never come back for them to tief me again for food that’s not even great. This was a wild experience. Such an embarrassment for a restaurant I was hoping to give a...
Read moreFirst and last time in this establishment! I came here after a meeting at my daughter’s school tonight. I hadn’t eaten all day, and my daughter was hungry as well. I ordered curry shrimp, potato and rice for her…and oxtail, rice and channa for myself. I spent $35 sat down and began to eat. I recognized I didn’t like the flavor or the texture of the oxtail I closed the plate up and walked over to the cashier to let her know that I didn’t like the food and would like to get something else instead. I explained I barely touched the food. The cashier had this stunned look on her face, and I turned around and saw an Indian man asked if he was the owner and he said yes…I then explained to him that I didn’t like the food and would like to get something else instead. And he too had this look as if no one ever was disappointed with their food before! But said nothing! So I asked does that mean you can’t do anything about it, and he said basically! I asked for his name and he said “Owner” was his name! I have never experienced such poor customer service in my life! I made it my business to also leave the uneaten...
