I am impressed by the selection at this store: it is clear that a lot of items, not all, come from the regular Bloomingdales. On most days the discounts are not much deeper than what you'd find at the seasonal clearance sale at a regular Bloomingdales. With some luck, patience and extra discounts you can get great deals. I have regularly spotted Roger Vivier shoes in many sizes in this outlet since the day it opened, priced $200-300, at their cheapest. Most were nondescript pumps, but some had the famous buckle, none in my size unfortunately. Love 40 carrots frozen yogurt at this location: limited selection of toppings (no fruit or anything perishable) but cheaper yogurt, with 4 flavor selections: plain, latte, chocolate and peanut butter. I took off a star for the condition of the store itself. Little changes were made after Bloomingdales took over this urban outfitters location. It badly needs some cosmetic renovations: floors, stairs, elevator, walls are dingy and outdated. Lighting is dismal and very unflattering. Constant smell of Clorox in and near the elevator is disturbing. The location of merchandise is a work in progress and...
Read moreThe store is very unorganized, Messy and some staff are very unprofessional I could hear what they are talking about on their personal phone calls for example the Floor agent started screaming on the phone “I’m coming I get off soon damn”(while folding clothes) and over hearing other staff conversations because they were so loud very unprofessional.. and I get people have conversations but guest should not hear everything. The shoe department was so trashy, and messy most shoes were just thrown or did not match , the shoes were in boxes they didn’t belong in which was annoying to find anything .The display on the ground floor was the only organized thing in the whole store the mens department smelled like backed up sewer water. I’ve went to the Bloomingdale’s on 3rd ave which is not a outlet but it was a huge difference.. I have went to the Saks off 5th outlet and could not tell the difference from the staff at their Saks on 5th ave because they were organized and friendly and professional even if they didn’t want to be at work I couldn’t tell their attitude was great as well. THIS WAS MY FIRST AND LAST TIME COMING TO...
Read moreActually, this place had really great deals and the women's section is incredibly interesting. Lots of cool new designs, very colorful, just awesome all around. Girlfriend loved it.
Now the guy's section is a completely different story. Before I go any further this is not specifically a Bloomingdale's fault but a general trend among literally every single clothing store that I have noticed over the past 5 years:
On the latest fashions have gotten exponentially more interesting colorful and diverse the guys have become the most bland collections of gray beige and brown polo shirts that I have ever seen in my life
The most exciting item in the guise section was a black shirt that said Armani exchange.
Literally plaid shirts dull polo shirts with weird stripes of brown and beige on them complete garbage
I would highly suggest if the store or any store wants to make a killing with income, just find a way to sell actually interesting guys clothing specifically not with slogans such as Armani or...
