This diner is convenient, usually relatively friendly, and serves great fries. But my husband got food poisoning there - bad tummy, felt ill for a day, etc - and I should have taken that as a warning. But I did not.
Last week I ordered a bison burger. The next day, I was as sick as I have ever been. I lost three full days of work. And 6 pounds. I have never ever been so nauseated. I had chills (but no fever) that were ferocious. I literally could not eat, could not move, could not get warm, could not drink even water. It was beyind miserable, and it seemed to take forever to go away. I should probably have gone to the ER - except I could not move.
You have been warned. I wish I had taken the hint when my husband got what we now know was mild food poisoning. Don't go to this diner. It's like playing roulette. You might be ok - or you might get awfully ill. I would not wish what I...

There we were, in a place called Manhattan, when I thought to myself "I grow hungry and I am in need of sustenance". With hypothermia kicking in, I grew curious at the sight of a utopian paradise. We were promptly seated and our table was washed down with a sad soggy rag (in true diner fashion). We got a selection of seedless pickles immediately. IMMEDIATELY. I tell you this, because I love pickles very much (and it's worth noting!). Our cheeseburgers were delivered soon after, but they tasted horrendous. Specifically, they forgot to add salt, pepper, and/or love to the patty in the cooking process. I advise going to another diner, perhaps Jacob's Pickes at penn station. I really like...
