Central Park Carriage Rides - Official Booking Site — Attraction in New York

We booked a carriage ride with this company for a Saturday night in July 2024. Upon arriving at the meeting point at the south end of Central Park we were told by some random people there that it was too hot for the horses to be working, so all carriage rides had been cancelled for the evening. This was completely understandable and we took an electric bike taxi instead (which ended up being way more fun anyway), and we expected to get an automatic refund for the carriage ride. Instead the credit card payment went through and after multiple calls to the number listed and promises that the refund would be made "in the next few days" it never happened. Eventually we had to file a dispute through our credit card company and even here Central Park Carriage Rides claimed falsely that the service had been rendered and the payment was due. So, we had to reissue the dispute with yet more backup documentation. Bottom line this company is sketchy, do yourself a favor and go with any of the more reputable options that...

Best decision I ever made was to book the proposal package for horse and carriage ride through Central Park. Fatih was so accommodating and informative as we rode through the park on his beautiful purple carriage with lovely flowers and Madison leading the way. He took time to take all kinds of pictures for us and was so friendly and acted like he had all the time in the world. My fiancee was able to feed Madison carrots by hand after I proposed and placed a lovely caret on her finger at a secluded spot by the lake on the bridge. It was very romantic and he gave us privacy and waited patiently while we took a few minutes alone. He also had lots of details about the park and the history that made it really special. There was even a point where people were dancing salsa in the park and he slowed down so that we could dance a little bit and take pictures. Our group thought it was amazing and Onur (pronounced Honor) our driver was Awesome and MIdnight, our horse was beautiful. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and went out of his way to take a picture of all of us (4 adults) as well as few other pics. We were able to give Midnight carrots for being awesome. Experience was priceless and worth it. We saw Central Park, Christmas Lights and Rockefeller Center etc. it was beautiful and everyone loved the information, ambiance, and memories the carriage ride provided. Thank you Onur (our driver) and Midnight our horse!!!!! If I could give higher than a 5 rating I would give it a 10!!!!
