On tour in NYC !! Another busy day walking, going up the Rockefeller Center, Central Park and now this Irish pub which was close by. Not sure why it's an Irish pub?? No real Irish theme. It's Saturday night, everyone is out including festive celebrations after a wedding close by. Busy and bustling we drank beer and ate good food, people watched and ended up walking through Times Square which was mad and crazy and very busy. Its easy to forget we are 3k miles from home. We are loving it....But the expensive drinks, the continued demand for tips and the surly service reminds us it's not like London. It won't dampen our spirits though !!!

Simply a Must to add to your pub crawl in New York city, Very friendly staff, and the best food bar none. We had the Steak sandwich, 3 layers of steak, cooked to your preference, melted cheese, and some sort of house sauce with a portion of Fries, Just Mouth watering and Full of taste, all washed down with an Ice Cold Miller Lite, Gorgeous. The pics you see were the next days lite bit sliders, a small snack not long after breakfast. So Treat yourself and visit PJCs for a great experience, Hey don't take my word for it, Go find out for yourself. Colin and Nicola, BELFAST.xx

Looking for an old-school midtown Manhattan bar with martinis, beer, and friendly staff? P.J. Carney’s Pub is the real deal. I’ve stopped in wearing professional clothes after client meetings and also in dance gear after class… either way, it’s relaxed and welcoming. So few bars in Midtown feel this easy. The wings are great, the drinks are strong, and the vibe is no-nonsense. In a city full of overpriced hype, this hidden gem near the N/W subway line stands out as one of the best neighborhood bars in Manhattan.

I was at this restaurant tonight around 830pm and was super excited to watch the Bengals and Bills game . I and my two female friends I came with . We are tourists from Canada and I was working in restaurants for 10 years and worked every single position and never in my life have a received service so bad in my life because of the blonde bartender .

The blonde bartender was an older lady and was a hellion , mischievous , apathetic and simply the most disrespectful person I met on this trip I have never met someone a bartender who is basically a bully .

My friend for one didn’t know what she wanted to order and she couldn’t decide what she wanted and asked simple question you would want and expect any bartender to answer politely and kindly when you go out for dinner .

My one friend said “Is the Caesar salad here chopped lettuce . And the bartender aggressively responded “ITS THE SAME AS EVERY OTHER SALAD at every other restaurant”. And my other friend asked if she could make any of the burgers a Veggie burger and didn’t wanna remove certain items because originally she wanted the Mexican Burger but wanted to modify it . But the Bartender said “WHY DONT YOU JUST ORDER THE VEGGIE BURGER AND ADD CHEESE” In a very aggressive tone .

My other female friend still didn’t know what they wanted and the bartender basically stood over my friend for 5 minutes with her arms crossed and had this really intense scowl on her face and pressured my friends to order food when they didn’t know what they wanted and she simply pressured them to order something and they ended up ordering something they weren’t exactly thrilled about just to get the Angry and disrespectful bartender out of there face instead of saying “ Should I give you two a few more minutes .

When we were done We asked her if we could all pay for our bulls separately and she said “You know in most restaurants someone simply just pays the bill and you can all reimburse each other after that , or you could of told me this at the beginning of the night .

And that was my breaking point and me and my friends payed our Bills and left and I tipped her 0 dollars and she was like “You didn’t sign here and you didn’t leave me a tip “. And I said “Your damn right I didn’t and just got up and we all walked away”. because I wanted people to know this ladies true colours .

I don’t know this ladies name , but she is a bully , evil , so disrespectful, patronizing, and condescending. I will never go to this restaurant again and no one should dine here as long as this lady works here and the owner needs to and should consider terminating this bartender

WORST AND TERRIBLE SERVICE and well...

Female barkeeps know what they’re doing. Watch out for clueless balding douchebags who may throw a wrench in your night for no good reason.

So the owner knows: i had ordered a powers, a guiness, and a quesadilla. Genius thought it was more important that i dont roll a spliff while i waited for the food than not. So all money lost and to clarke’s. No difference to me with your boring ass music, clientele and disabled juke box.

The rest a yuz, if you’re here you’re a tourist. No other reason to be here.

I ended up spending about $100 bucks at clarke’s. Superior shepherds pie, superior fries, superior mac. Superior service, even the guiness was better. No brainer.

Thank you carnie for showing me the value of P.j. Clarke’s.

Just reflecting on that delicious meal… from pj clarke’s. Don’t be deceived by the biting of initials, ph korney’s sucks fully. The shepherd’s pie, mac n cheese, even the fries (chips) are infinitely superior at PJ Clarke’s, and if the original on 3rd is too far, there’s an even finer room across from lincoln center. Just don’t be suckered by that Carney bullshit across from carnegie hall. I’d rather enjoy the morton william’s buffet than even a glass of water...

Standard wood-lined pub in the heart of the city. We visited on New Years Day after reading great reviews, but we were woefully disappointed. I knew something was up when we sat down, and the bartender had no personality. We ordered 2 different beers, and the home PJs brew was skunked. After reading good reviews, we decided on wings. They came with a great sauce and good blue cheese, but the wings themselves were heavily breaded and not very meaty. I asked for a second beer but never received it. The service failure continued I witnessed the bartender texting, on the phone, talking with bar backs, and not paying any attention to the customers. When I received the bill, and I was actually charged for that beer that was never poured. It was adjusted appropriately at least so I paid and left. I couldn't wait to get out of here and am very disappointed with the food...
