Chang Li Supermarket Inc. — Attraction in New York

If I cook Thai food I always grab the ingredients from this store! The lemongrass $1.99 ,red curry paste, tom yum paste ,fish sauce, oyster sauce, of course soy sauce the list for me endless…. Black rice for dessert when I cook black rice pudding with coconut cream. Mushroom enoki,shiitake, white, baby bella etc. Ginger, galangal. Sesame oil I love to use they have great quality . I have a little bit of everything at home, When pandemic started, and they closed the city I started to learn how to cook asian kitchen now I don’t need to order anything anymore, thanks to this store and the authentic online recipes . My only concern and I give 4 stars because the store need more people who understand and speak English (store manager does) and can help for people to find what they are looking for. Overall it’s one of the best asian store...

I lost all respect for this establishment. After shopping here for the last three years I will never be returning here again. My wife and I usually buy food from Chang li and some of the stores near by. We parked our car and left for five minutes. When we walked back, my wife goes to the store and I go back to my car and wait for her. When I arrived there was a boot on my car, and some guy in a blue truck told me I had to pay $150 to get it removed. When asked to speak to the owner he didn't even want hear what I had to say. If the prices here don't rob you then the guy in the blue truck with boot will. I repeat i was robbed $150 for parking for 5 minutes. Thus has to be my first bad review, so I apologize for being so negative. Thanks...

Since this store has opened I have not had to go to Chinatown to shop, which is great because I don't do the subway stairs any more.(bad knees) Anyway they have a great assortment of fresh fish ready to be prepared to your order, plus they have live catfish,crabs,lobsters, mussels,clams and shrimps and more. They have a great frozen food section too. The meat department is fabulous too. Pots and pans, cooking utensils, assortment of dishes,beautiful glasses and cups,silverware etc. I find things in there I don't see in the supermarket. Excellent selection of fresh fruits and vegetables, drinks. It truly is one stop shopping. They even have different sizes of shopping...
