DEN OF THIEVES. DO NOT SHOP HERE. I reached out to this sham organization in March to purchase a table I saw advertised on their website. After foolishly calling in and leaving a 50% deposit to ensure the order was processed, I was texted the front of the receipt and was assured my order would be in process the next day. I NEVER RECEIVED MY MERCHANDISE. I reached out after the alleged due date came and went and was told that due to the wait they would "price match" the advertised price at Macy's and that my order would be in the following month. IT NEVER CAME. After 4 months of waiting, my husband and I went into the establishment to speak to the first thief Janice. I explained that we could no longer wait and we wanted to get our money back or select another item. She agreed and In good faith we began looking through patio sets. THIS IS WERE THE BUFFOONERY WENT TO THE NEXT LEVEL.
We selected a patio set and were told there would be a 1600 difference. My husband was very annoyed after Janice insisted we would get the same discount applied to our initial order and that she would take off an additional percentage due to the delay with out contact and twice failure of delivery of items ordered. She did not. Instead she upped the price. We decided to select another set $1600 cheaper than the first so it would be an even exchange and instead she said it was $1400 more. We asked to speak to the manager.
THE THEIVERY ESCALATES - We speak to the Manager Mathew who insists the math is correct. I refer to an advertisement where the patio set is listed for $300 LESS THAN OUR CREDIT. $1700 less than our quoted exchange price from Janice. Mathew and Janice insist the website is wrong. Janice insist that we are not reading the advertisement correctly. Perhaps it is Janice who is illiterate and clearly both Janice and Matthew don't understand basic math and should not be responsible for processing any financial transactions.
The REAL MANAGER decides to slither on over but does not identify himself to us. Instead he mosey's on over to his desk where he sits down to petrify as his ill managed staff continues to humiliate myself and my husband.
Finally Mathew learns Math... he offers an apology as Janice throws a tantrum. He agrees to POSSIBLY give us the advertised price after Tuesday when the sale ends so he can try and charge us a restocking fee for furniture never delivered or in their possession. He claims there is a truck right now coming from Canada alllllll the way to their beat up Bronx location to deliver our pristine $7000 dining table. .. and you know what he is a liar. He has no integrity and the three Charlatans all played their part. My husband and I were berated and we understood at that point we were not going to reach a resolution and asked for our refund. They refused. Matthew refers to a terms and conditions page NEVER SENT TO ME.. . because my receipt was texted and only the front with the breakdown of the monies was listed.
We asked for business cards of all involved and both Janice and the Manger responding to all these beautiful reviews I guess his name is Ron S. refused.
I WISH I WOULD HAVE COME TO THE SHOW ROOM BEFORE TRUSTING THESE CROOKS WITH OUR CREDIT CARD. WE WILL CONTINUE TO ADVOCATE THROUGH ALL LEGAL MEANS TO GET OUR MONIES RETURNED. I would have known this place was as raggedy as the cheap rugs of their show room floor.
Don't waste your time. I hope they go out of business and the credit card companies revoke...
Read moreMy wife and I stepped into the white Plains location looking to purchase a coffee table. Upon entering we were approached by sales person Ayman who seemed helpful and knowledgeable so we felt in good hands. We looked around for a while and Ayman showed us options according to our needs. We finally made a decision on a three piece table set and it was right at the point of sale that everything changed. First we had to wait to pay while they were taking care of a customer service issue with another customer who was by the office looking for her sales representative to assist with an issue. My wife and I witnessed the sales person step up to the office, spoke to the other office associates and literally ignored the customer who was asking her questions as she was just about three feet apart and the salesperson literally walked away and did not acknowledge her customer. I was shocked at how this behavior was acceptable but I have never shopped here before and was just waiting to check out. After paying for my purchase they asked my wife and I to wait in front of the store while our purchase was being brought to us. After sitting in front for over a half hour while we experienced sales persons talking to each other about picking up their managers clothes from the cleaners we had to step up and ask for our sales person Ayman who we had to wait another seven minutes to come and assist he let us know that our purchase was ready for pick up and had been for over ten minutes and no one had let us know. The next day I opened the box to assemble my tables, I was successful building one table when it came to the other tables in the set apparently the screws they sent did not fit the table set so we decided to call and resolve the issue. When my wife called she asked to speak to the manager because we realized that our salesperson Ayman hadn’t even offered us a protection plan for our purchase neither did he follow up with us to see if we were happy with our purchase or if anything was wrong. The lady on the phone claimed to be the manager but upon explaining the situation briefly she told my wife she was the office manager not the store manager and that he had stepped out the store. It’s obvious to me that this person was either lying to us or just incompetent since all she did was pass this issue on. Finally my wife got to speak to someone on the phone which we don’t even know who this person is in this store since they didn’t even provide a name, he then tried making jokes about the situation as if he knows my wife which I was very upset about. We explained the situation and he asked that we send him a picture of the screw not fitting into the table leg which I don’t understand why this would even be necessary however we did just that. He claimed to have received the picture and that he would return our call within fifteen minutes. We never got a call back. I now have to wait till tomorrow for me to follow up on this issue to experience god knows what with this incompetent group of individuals. Corner Furniture has nice advertisement and website but they lack training and customer service skills. I am extremely disappointed and Unsatisfied with this unsatisfactory substandard service and experience. I rather travel anywhere else before returning to this location and I will definitely let all my friends, family and contacts on Facebook and Instagram know to not waste their time or money on...
Read moreHave been a customer of corner furniture for over 20 years and I have never experience such terrible customer service, my furniture came damaged and when I called back to find out how long I would have to wait and what compensation they can offer I was left on hold for over 1 hour by Aisha Majors. The deliver man called and he was told I could have replacement by Tuesday May 25, it is now almost 2 weeks and I am still waiting. She never even had the courtesy to call me back after she left me on hold. In fact she didn’t even have the courtesy to call me back to give me an update I had to call back. The employees and manager (Wanda) they have now don’t understand customer service. I guess when the store manager Frank retired Corner Furniture dropped their standards because Frank always ensured all customers were satisfied. Can’t wait to receive the remainder of my furniture so I never have to deal with this store again. I was contemplating getting the protection plan with them but I rather lose the furniture if it gets damaged than to give Corner Furniture another dime.
Secondly, my mom had a layaway and became ill I wasn’t aware of the layaway until I received an email from Office manager Aisha Majors when I called to find out she stated I just need a motorized letter from my mom allowing them to transfer the funds. She never explained that their was a time frame to use it. I didn’t have the need to purchase furniture so I figured I’d wait and when I did i provided the letter and again no response. I emailed the letter to Aisha and I went in person and left a copy with Michael who stated she would call me on Monday. I am still waiting for the call and no one has had the courtesy to address the issue other than to say sorry we can’t transfer the money. I guess taking advantage is also part of their terrible customer service.
Completely disappointed and unsatisfied, but problem solved won’t be a customer of theirs ever again and I’ll be sure to tell my friends, family and social media how Corner...
