Be aware of their fish and meat products. I purchased this "fresh" fish yesterday 11.29.23 and it was too expire on Dec.2nd. First of all, literally the whole house began to stink, which is more or less acurate for fish cooking, however, the smell was like a sweet offputting aroma. Once it finished cooking all the way through, i was about to serve it but decided to smell it first upclose. Thats when I knew I had to throw it out. You ever been around hair dye? I have. And thats exactly what this smelled like. I could not even smell fish at that point, it was just a straight up extremely strong chemical smell. Without saying anything to anyone from my household other than "smell it" the responses I got were very similar to one I had. Pissed is not even the word that I am. These companies do not care about selling unexpired product. And there was no way this was just a "one off". The smell is literally one of a kind, like strong acetone that had to be done on purpose. Not only will I not shop here due to this and rather go out of my way to shop elsewhere even if it means a longer walk. I will also tell every single person I know about the company purposefully putting chemicals in the food. I may be ok eating something that contains this garbage but my elderly parents certainly would not be. Think about your kids and family members. I would love to say im being overly dramatic but sadly this is the reality. You are suppose to be a grocery store, not a chemical company. Stop with these...
Read moreThis is a welcome addition to the neighborhood as far as convenience goes. Prices for organic stuff are really high but not out of control for the area. edit as this store has been around for awhile I thought I would update my review. It’s very normal to find expired products in the meat/dairy section. I found a package of burgers that were 5 days past their date. There was stuff in dairy that expired in October while I shopped on November 10th. It’s not like this is a super busy store so the employees should be able to stay on top of expiration dates. Also I don’t understand how they don’t know perfect bars need to be refrigerated and are usually in the dairy section of most markets. All of the problems with this place are completely avoidable so it’s disappointing that they don’t seem to get resolved. Oh! And they need to check the ice cream freezers or their frozen storage in the back because all 3 times I’ve bought ice cream here, it has been clear that it has melted and refrozen. I’ve tried 3 times but I’m done buying ice cream or anything frozen here. Shame because the sale...
Read moreReally disappointing experience here. Many of the positive reviews here are clearly fake, as they all say the same exact thing and are left around the same time period. First of all, the marketing of this store is a complete scam. There is nothing “farmer’s market” about this place. I would honestly rather do my shopping at the bodega. Low quality for HIGH prices. I saw a container of chicken stock that was labeled $17.89 !!! The staff is also low quality and could not perform a simple price check on paper towels when I was checking out. The manager had to sit on the phone with the owner for about 5 minutes while a long line started to form at the register only to inform me that a set of TWO rolls of paper towels would be $14. I looked at him and said, so one roll of paper towels is $7–that’s what you’re telling me. And he nodded. Well now you get $0 and lost a customer...
