CTown Supermarkets — Attraction in New York

I have to update my review from before. They are still upgrading the store but now they raised the prices of almost everything. Produce which used to be reasonable is now ridiculous. 6.99 for a single romaine or green leaf lettuce. A three pack of Romaine is not even 6.99 in other stores. The quality has gone down as well and the amount is smaller. From a nice size green leaf to half the size. Meat has gone up as well along with most items. You have to also check as items scan because some not all cashiers don't know all the item and put them in wrong. Also non produce items scan wrong from what on the shelf. I understand times are changing and prices are going up but to tripple is ridiculous and is taking advantage of the customers. This is the only store in this area. It's not worth...

Some things are good priced but mostly not. Parking lot spots are extremely narrow and if u get dinged they’ll say the camera quality is lousy and won’t show you ( the manager rents the back of the lot out to trucks that can’t park on the street ).

The deli guys are great 1/2 of the cashiers are good the other 1/2 are busy flirting with the manager & texting. The short older guy who mops and stocks is totally miserable and if u ask him anything you’ll get an attitude.

Overall good deli and good for a few items but don’t do your whole shopping list there. There is another c-town in woodhaven by 75th st which is much nicer and more spread out ( better selection of European & foreign products too imo ).

Be careful buying food there. Always look at the expiration dates. The bread, cheese, and yogurt are sometimes expired. So if you send your kids to buy something teach them to ALWAYS check the date on the item. The ice cream almost always has freezer burn on it.

Update: 4/4 Some of the employees clearly need better training on how to properly communicate sale items with purchase vs paying reg price. The customer always has the choice on whether or not they choose to pay reg price for an item, or pay less if they...
