This has been my go-to place for grocery shopping every time I visit my MIL for the past few years. I've tried shopping at other Asian supermarkets around Elmhurst but they are either too crowded, too dirty, hard to find parking, or too hard to find items. And I've always come back to this place for a more stress-free shopping experience. It's located right off Queens Blvd, very easy to get to. Parking is always free and available with 4 entries/exits out of the parking lot. The interior is among one of the most spacious. Since D&Z bought out Good Fortune last year, I've noticed a few changes, mostly positive. The lightings are now LEDs, making the store much brighter. The isles are streamlined to minimize congestion. I especially appreciate the new vertical isle that cuts through the other-wise-long-stretch of isles. I can now find my items much quicker looking at both direction on one sweep. The shopping carts were replaced with new ones. The place is much cleaner and feels more spacious overall. I'm not sure if the prices are higher now because of the new management or because of inflation. But the differences are marginal anyways and don't affect my decision to shop here. The only negative experience I've had has been with the meat department. The butchers are generally rude and they pick the customers they feel like serving first; that means you'd better be loud and aggressive in order to get serviced.

In the back of the supermarket there’s sort of restaurant like place that sells combinations of 4 selections of food with rice or noodles of your choice. Today I picked up a coconut mochi cake and my daughter ate it but told me that she found some small pieces of glasses inside the cake. I called them and made them aware of the problem. Hopefully nobody’s else experienced it.

Brought Portuguese egg tart this morning, it's disgusting, it's cold and chewy. They are not freshly made , it's left over egg tart from the night before. Please advise their bakery items.

My usual spot for grocery hauls. Huge market with not only a full range of Chinese and Taiwanese ingredients/products but all the standard fare such as cereal and soda etc as well. Prices are reasonable, meat especially is very affordable as is the fresh fish and seafood. The staff are all Chinese immigrants so don’t expect anything above barebones service (cultural expectations are different and they might seem rude or otherwise unhelpful to you if you’re not familiar with Chinese perspectives on service. They’re just very to the point and don’t bother you unless you ask them for something.)

I don’t drive but they do have parking available on the southern side of the building.

They don’t give out shopping bags so come prepared accordingly. It’s always busy but I’ve never waited long for checkout or service at the fish counter. Will continue to shop here primarily for my groceries as long as I remain in...

Do NOT shop at this supermarket. Quality of meats and vegetables are quite substandard. Purchased bok choy, scallions and cauliflower. They were wilted and bruised. I also went to the meat department and purchased chicken drumsticks for .89 cents per pound. I asked the worker for 5 pounds. When I looked at the bag of drumsticks I noticed the worker charged me 1.49 per pound. I took it back to the meat department for correction which he did but everyone was laughing at me and talking in chinese. I guess that I was the joke of the day. Very immature and disrespectful. I am 79 years old and need to use a walker. They saw me as someone they could take advantage of. Please save your money and shop at another supermarket. Also, the ready made food section would not pass a Health Department inspection. Food thrown around on various trays with no heating source. That is a recipe for...
