Me and my friends tried Bhatti ko Faarzi Masala Chowmein, Thela ko Faarzi Tapari Momo, Airport ko Faarzi Sekuwa, and Lyase Paaun. I really liked the smokey flavor in Chowmein. It was phenomenal. It gave me memories of local bhauju ko bhatti wala Chowmein experience. It’s slightly spicy but that’s what makes it special - a true Nepali flavor. Local wala taste with chana, buff ko sukuti (halka basna aauney wala), I highly recommend it.
Momo was super soft and aatti babal. They gave us the local thela wala achar. I loved it. The waiter was super super nice guy. He actually gave us Everest wala jhol achar as a complement. There is no any Everest wala jhol achar in whole New York (I have been to every single Nepalese restaurant in New York in the past four years, every single) This was outstanding- very demure, very thoughtful of Faarzi team!
Sekuwa was phenomenal. The chef came outside and made a big fire. Aatti babaal!
The nice thing about a drink named Lyase Paaun is that it has both alcoholic and non alcoholic options. I got the non alcoholic one. I loved it. My friends got the alcoholic one. It was super nice according to them.
The vibe is really great. Really welcoming staff! The owner is super cool young guy who really wants to give every experience a great one. Great team. I wish all the best for Faarzi team. Looking forward for another...
Read moreI was very excited to see a Himalayan spot opening up on this side of Elmhurst because I felt there was a need for more diverse food anyways.
The exterior is very eye-catching especially with all of the decorations and colors the owners put effort into. The interior is just wow, different colors - lots of greens, purple & brown. The seating and tables are very pretty and the lighting is perfect.
I haven’t tried too much food here, but so far I have had the: Buff chow mein, Chatamari Set (Nepalese style folded pizza with spiced meats and vegetables), Kathmandu Ko Faarzi Jhoi Momo Cha (Nepalese style dumplings with flavorful fillings served with special tangy sauce) and Baudha Ko Faarzi Cheu Momo (steamed momo with flavorful juicy buttery fillings served with 2 different sauces). There’s a lot of interesting aromatics in the food and their momo’s are delicious! I can’t eat much spicy foods, so I chose the ones that were mild or not spicy.
The bar menu had an assortment of drinks and cocktails. I’ve tried a few of the cocktails at Faarzi and they are on point.
Overall, a pleasant experience if you’re looking for a different type of cuisine and atmosphere. The staff here are very nice & welcoming. The music is also very relaxing and when you’re here, you forget you’re...

FAARZI Himalayan Bar and Grill offers a great blend of Nepali culture in a modern, Westernized setting. The ambiance is perfect—warm, inviting, and ideal for families. The service was also commendable, with staff ensuring a pleasant dining experience.
Now, onto the food we ordered.
Appetizers: • Paani Puri (5/10): The presentation was good, but the flavors were overpowered by excessive sourness. • Chatpate (7/10): It had a nice kick and was flavorful, though it felt like something was missing to complete the taste. • Buff Choila (5/10): As a Newari dish, it didn’t quite hit the mark. The flavors didn’t resemble authentic Choila, though the presentation was visually appealing.
Main Course: • Bara with Chicken (8/10): Well-prepared and enjoyable. One of the better dishes of the night. • Chatamari (6/10): Had potential, but could use some refinement to bring out its traditional flavors.
Overall: It was a decent dining experience, though the flavors felt slightly muted, possibly to cater to a broader audience. As a Nepali, the taste didn’t fully resonate with authenticity, but the effort and presentation were appreciated. The ambiance and service make it a good spot for families and gatherings. A little fine-tuning on the flavors could elevate the...
