I don’t think the owner is the same owner as before back in the 90s and early 00s. When I was a kid they used to have a sushi stand here. A Korean man who sells restaurant quality sushi at this supermarket until 2006.
Now as a 31 year old man, my parents send me for weekly grocery shopping on the weekend at elmhurst. This is one of the places I go others being top line, and sf. The Asian supermarkets in my neighborhood of woodside are smaller and they don’t have certain items that elmhurst Asian markets has. Hence
The higher ups at this supermarket are young people. To call them rude would not be enough even for a mainland China standard. They are more like thugs. Women old enough to be their aunts work at cashier and men old enough to be their fathers work at butcher, produce and shelf stocking. But these youngmen who have Chinese hip hop thug characteristics are rude to them. And to the customers also. They also get into physical altercations yes you heard me physical altercations with their customers.
There is a woman who slightly above average height for an Asian woman that stays at the counter with the lotto machine. She too has the animalistic personality. Always rude and shout at people. You can just ask “paying with cash or credit?” ma’am there’s no need to be verbally abusive just to form those sentences. Only few nicer people there is the round face auntie that stationed at that same lotto place during the earlier time of the day. Other than that the managers and the young thugs higher ups are just animals. To the managers and the owner of this place.

One of the primary benefits of shopping at an Asian market is the opportunity to try new and unique ingredients that you might not find at a traditional grocery store. This can be a fun and adventurous experience for those who are interested in cooking and trying new foods.
Asian markets are also known for being affordable, especially when compared to specialty stores or supermarkets that carry Asian products. You can often find great deals on fresh produce and meats, as well as discounted prices on pantry staples.
One potential downside to shopping at an Asian market is that there may be a language barrier if the store caters primarily to a specific Asian language-speaking demographic.
