If you're a huge fan of Yayoi Kusama, this location will allow you to view her works with lots of breathing room. The downside is that this is a VERY small portion of the exhibition.
Unequally split between the W 19th Street gallery, there are only two viewing rooms at E 69th. One only has 4 paintings. They are large with a carefully executed chain-mail effect. Personally I like them very much. A couple will definitely wind up in my phone wallpaper rotation along with Keith Haring and Emily Pwerle.
The gallery itself has the prerequisite white walls and high ceilings in an elegant old townhouse. The exhibit is on the second level. I totally forgot to take a picture of the spiral staircase! Someone do that for me please. There's a frightfully small elevator in a closet if you need the accessibility.
