Read moreWe visited the Armani Ristorante during Restaurant Week, so we got 3 courses for $26/person. I believe that, giving that this is an elegant and rather upscale restaurant, this is a bargain. The place is classy and modern, the staff is very polite and well-dressed. I checked the drink menu as well, and they offer many cocktails too, as well as wines and coffees/teas, etc. The only thing that was truly annoying is that we got a table very far from the windows, and in between two other tables that were both occupied, and unfortunately both of the couples talked very loudly, and the entire restaurant was noisy in general as it was almost full- so it made us impossible to have a nice conversation, but we could hear every word from other tables... The waiting time for each course was okay. We got a small basket of 4 tiny slices of bread- it wouldâve been nice to get some flavored butter too and a knife. The breads werenât remarkable at all. The appetizer was Burrata salad for hubby - good but not too much taste there-, and french toast for me - which I loved, it was great but some fresh fruit or a small dollop of yogurt was missed. For the main dish I chose the Egg Royale which was heavenly, full with flavors and the portion size wasnât too small. My husband, on the other hand had the Uova, which was basically a poached egg (horrible job, Iâm sorry but the egg white was completely runny) with mushrooms- the mushrooms were excellent and very flavorful. The desert was sorbet and ice cream- both were very good, the ice cream was more remarkable, perfect taste and texture. Iâd say that for this price it was totally worth it, it was a good experience, but the food is not always the best (it depends on the certain dishes), and the atmosphere wasnât calming and relaxing. I suggest asking specifically for a table at the windows to have a more relaxed...
Read moreI just started working at this great restaurant. With the large name, beyond internationally recognized (if there is such a thing, haha), and possess what I expected to be âcorporate feelâ in the sense of a loss of true individualism that I have experienced at smaller single-owner establishments, itâs completely the opposite. The staff and management from the top down truly want to bring the most authentic, unpretentious, yet hyper refined dining experience that they possibly can. Starting from the moment each guest walks in the door. It reminds me of the manner in which the operation that successfully dominated Chicagoâs fine dining scene 15-years ago (+- a few years) run by the famous Charlie Trotter. With no one coming close to matching his success, he placed the clients perception of and experience regarding, their time inside his walls as the focal point, taking the motto of the guest should never here the world no to new extremes. Within reason. This restaurant seems to emulate that similar philosophy. They are dignified, and proud, yet humble and ready and willing to meet the needs of their clientele in unparalleled fashion, combined with top tier cuisine, an excellently curated wine list, modest staff that do not seem content with mediocrity, and a genuine smile on their faces whilst work hard to blow you away with an experience. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to work here and look forward to moving forward with this, letâs face it,...
