Family Market — Attraction in New York

At 3PM on February 11 Sunday, two women working the cash register were loudly gossiping about a customer who had just left. They were saying that the customer had a little Japanese blood in her but did not look so, that she might not look Japanese because she was wearing heavy makeup. Also, they were talking that she might have had plastic surgery because her face was different from the last time she came in. There were several customers in the store at that time, just because a customer does not look Japanese, it does not mean that they do not understand Japanese. I will never go back to this store again. Seriously, those two clerks...

Terrible bad manners from staff. I have been a faithful, frequenting customer for fourteen tears, staff know me easily, but to shout at me suddenly after rule-change is so impolite and disgraceful, especially of young man who knows me very well. If the rule suddenly changes again, I can accept, but one should address any customer in gentle, polite tone. To not do so, just with shouting is terrible bad manners - is itJapanese store or NYC 99cent store? I will never return to this establishment, even if it is 30 metres from my home....

Great spot to get some quick Japanese goodies. Stopped by here and got my monthly stash of instant ramens, seasonings and some snacks. They had a lot more as well, but I am just not a chef so it was all out of my league. Friendly staff...seemed like a family?
