I was avoiding writing this review for the longest but decided I should.
I went on a very not busy Wednesday lunch time and as I walked in, there was no one there. Thankfully I was greeted at least! The guy making the bowls was standing there with both AirPods in, clearly looking like he didn’t want to be there lol
Didn’t realize that they don’t take orders like pokeworks and have to use the screen or QR code. Btw only like max 3 toppings for each type lol Anyway I put in my order along with my bf and I had 2 protein rice/salad 2 sauces (ginger + yuzu) and he got 3 protein rice only 3 sauces (eel, mango, wasabi)
They literally messed that up from the beginning lol Messed up the protein/bottom mix, messed up the sauces Also mixed up the toppings. Fortunately I wasn’t there bc I was going to buy some drinks bc I would have said something and had them redone it. Also they randomly added almond slices to BOTH bowls even though we hadn’t requested it and what if someone was allergic?
They offered a small bowl of spring mix (no dressing) to try to rectify it lol. Really disappointed overall. When I came back, I saw both workers huddled in the back probably trying to figure out what to do.
That being said, quality tasted good, wish there was more fish. Purple rice was tasty though and well cooked.
Don’t know if I’ll come back but if I do I’m gonna watch the guy prep the bowl like a hawk lol and honestly there was no one there how can you make the mistake from the beginning and then continue to fill the toppings 😵💫 maybe he shouldn’t have both AirPods in and focus on his work ¯(ツ)/¯
Also I got the açaí bowl. Mid
Omg also I got the tuna balls and I got a glob of mayo and I almost threw up lmfao not worth it for $6 a ball. I’m Asian I think I’d know what tastes good and doesn’t :/
Overall pretty...
Read morethe most WORTH IT rice ball eveeerrr. if u in the area def try spicy tuna, spicy salmon, unagi, shrimp, salmon, chicken was all🔥🔥🔥 best $5-$6 you’ll ever spend
beef rice ball was also good but hoping for more than one tiny slice of beef inside. flavor wise no complaint but how they wrap it really depends on who’s working behind the counter and your luck 😂 one time i got mine perfectly wrapped, triangle tight just right. when my brother ordered 8pcs in one order we spent $50ish for rice balls, the wrapper was sooo loose and way way toooo saucy made the rice break apart, such a mess. one time my sister ordered from ubereats, 6pcs all perfectly wrapped. def a gambling right here iykyk hopin they can provide better consistent wrapping all the time
5 stars for everything def will become my favorite poke place to go from now on! fresh & tasty food say no more, can custom ur own bowl, Service is fast and . front girl jaz is very knowledgable and friendly, she able to accomodate stuff based on my liking. acai fruit bowl very refreshing...
Read moreMy partner and I had come out of the movie theatre without a plan to eat. We wandered the neighborhood not really feeling up to any of the restaurants on the way. Until we came upon Piki Poke. We love poke bowls and had never eaten here before, so it was a perfect match. Sitting here after finishing my meal, I can attest to it's deliciousness. The purple rice base was a really unique flavor that I feel added a lot to the meal, and the unagi and onion beef were top tier. I had the spicy peanut sauce and sweet chili sauce in my bowl, but my partner had ponzu sauce, and it was some of the best ponzu sauce I'd ever had. The flavor was incredubly natural. Now, I could write about each individual ingredient in my bowl, but the real reason I'm writing this review is to highlight the awesome service of Sam. He let us know that he'd be there if we needed any assistance, complimented my shirt, and was just an absolutely kind person to us the entire time. Although the food was excellent, it's the awesome staff that have put a smile on my face that will...
