This is a great playground for climbers. Easy to get to by the Q66 bus. Newly renovated and there are a lot of swings. As with most New York City parks in Astoria the water comes on at the splash pad well into the chilly cold months of fall. There's a spider web, rock climbing inspired poles, a drawbridge/ walk the plank apparatus, tons of slides and the swings are always open. Space to run with rubber padded floors. We really like it.

I love it here! I just found out about this park recently. It is clean, spacious, plenty of room and activity for my 2yr old. The bathroom is also a plus because it is very clean. They also have the sprinklers on a timer. The only downfall is it is not fully gated so you have to be careful around the entrances with small children. Other than that great park and area. Close to restaurants and stores.

Nice Park around the block, large enough for older kids and younger kids to play without bothering each other's. Kinda crowded after 5pm, but you'll always find places to sit.

Dutchkills playground is very unique. It is a paradise to children of all ages. The play and climb equipment is just right for inviting children to move and explore. However, the best part of this playground is the staff that does such hard work to maintain the park spotless. Ms. Law ( better known as Mimi) is amazing! She puts her heart to making this park stay clean and orderly. She spends hours, I have watched her, going from one end of the park to the other to make sure it stays clean. She also helps tend the gardens of the park. She works the soil in Spring and fall to help the garden stay ready for all seasons. If this was not enough Mimi also makes sure the part satys safe. If she sees any aut of place social interaction she intervines and if she has to will call police for support. Mr. Clarance is also amazing in supporting the park and keeping it clean. He is always ready to help if anything is needed in the park. I appreciate both of their hard work and wish all New York City parks had such excellent staff like them. We are so fortunate...

They have definitely revamped this place. There are sprinklers in the middle where the little ones usually hang out,it usually shuts off at 740pm. There's swings for both babies and older children(or wanna-be children like myself 😆). Then there's the slides(5 in total-1 spiraled,1twin and 2 single ones ), a balance-bouncy-rubbery thingamajig, some monkey bars, a balance beam that is wider and not as straight as the ones from back in my day and a few other fun things to climb on or hang off of lol. There's usually a good amount of children in the park between 4 and 8 but the park is big enough that it doesn't feel crowded. Overall, we enjoy our time there.

Tip:bring an extra pamper(for those still in pampers) and set of clothes for little ones because the water...

I found this playground park on the way to Costco in Vernon Blvd. It is huge. I like the way they separated kids playground and young boys bicycle place. Little kids are safe to run and play around. Their swing and kids climbing fun stuff looks very new and colorful that you can see them from driving on the street. All the grounds are soft and safe. My kids loved the bumpy thing, we sat down and someone has to push up and down. There are plenty of benches for parents to sit down and relax. Convenient spot to see all from one place so you don't have to run around all the time with your kids. They have basketball court, hand ball wall. Neighborhood seems quiet so it was fun for kids and...
