Finishing Touch Braiding — Attraction in New York

I pre-booked an appointment online for a sew in with Natasha. On the day of my appointment she never reached out to me in any way to inform me that she would be running behind schedule. I arrived on time to see an other client in her chair. Natasha was UNAPOLOGETIC and just casually said “give me a few minutes”. I patiently waited 1 HOUR and 15 MIN for her to finish. She then called me into her chair without cleaning her station or WASHING HER HANDS . When I politely requested for her to wash her hands she chose to IGNORE me. I kept in good graces hoping that she would still do a decent job on my hair and I even brung along a picture to show her the style I wanted …which was extremely common (middle part) and few baby hairs. When she finished there was glue residue all around the perimeter of my head along with wrinkles in the front of my closure as if it wasn’t laid well ..middle part was very white and unprofessional even though she stated prior that she uses makeup instead of bleaching the knots. No baby hairs at all ..she didn’t even cut the baby hairs and the ear tabs was coming up before I got home . The worst part is how bumpy ,lumpy and carelessly she sewed the tracks on to my braids..it looks like I have a cone sticking out the sides of my head…and was told by family and friends that my hair looks poorly done. I was raised to treat others with kindness and respect,I still paid her $170 and tipped her and left with a fake smile to cover my embarrassment but ,I called her later and told her she did a horrible job ..and she knew it .. she told me she would fix it but,I never showed up again because I didn’t want to be fooled twice . With that being said .. I feel that There is something extremely sinister and disturbing within the community of black female hair stylist..gossipy,neglectful,attitude,unprofessionalism ,laziness ,incompetence and unapologetic. We the customers must build an alliance to stop being...

I booked a appointment with Natasha I asked for a sew in with a leave out and to perm the leave out. She’s easy going and a pleasure to talk to and before I knew It I was done. She was very professional and I left out with so much confidence I feel like myself again. You know the sew In is going to be on point from the braid down and that it was. I found out she also sells hair. She’s on instagram as well but I say definitely book you won’t regret it.

Got a protective style over my locs. I only have a mohawk of locs so I wasn't expecting it to take 6 hours not only that I feel like I was overcharged and the stylist didn't want to give me a price before I got in her chair. Only to get home and the wraps around my locs started to unravel after she said they wouldn't. I was so aggravated I didn't even go back to fix it.
