Atelier December — Restaurant in New York

So I came here for a little bit of Saturday brunch. I had ordered a strawberry Matcha with cold foam. It was really sweet. That’s how I like it and the steak with pasta I had chosen the pink sauce and it was really good. The steak was cooked how I liked it medium rare and I also have the pistachio pancakes with some fruit on the side because none of the pancakes came with fruit on top of it, but that wasn’t really a problem for me. I came on a warm day in October so I didn’t expect it to be very chilly, but although I like the scenery It seemed as if the humidity had attracted a fly problem Which was taking me off a little bit mainly because I didn’t want flies sitting on my food around me so I was forced to cover my food with napkins. Food was a 10 out of 10 I definitely recommend maybe if they keep the door shut or get rid of the indoor plants it would be a different environment in terms of the flies And the service was really nice. I wouldn’t know how the food was because we left after waiting an hour. Everyone in the restaurant was eating but us. I will point out the fact that we were the only Asians in the entire establishment. Whether that played a huge role in their decision to starve us or not, you can be the judge of that. They tried to gaslight us into thinking that they were working on our order right away, but that wasn’t the case. I already inquired after 40 minutes of waiting and we left after a full hour. I thought we were quite accommodating. The manager (who was aloof and did everything he can to avoid us) said he would make it up to us the next time. I respect myself too much to go through this ordeal again. I can promise you there won’t be a next time. If they were serious about hospitality, they would have comped the meal for us.
