I’ve been shopping here for about five years now, and it’s one of the best places for fresh, high-quality produce. Everything is high quality and locally sourced. One of my favorites is their ice cream selection. They offer a wide variety of flavors from local producers, like Van Leeuwen and Jeni's. The coop also regularly hosts local events like plant swaps, which is a fun and free way to get new plants. Most of the staff has been fantastic over the years — always friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. That being said, recently an older Indian woman, who works as a manager or staff member, felt the need to follow me around the store. Yikes!!! This was a one-off incident though and I’m removing a star due to that experience.

Handsome renovations, distinctive products and healthy prepared-foods are a big plus to Ditmas Park. So too are the polite and professional staff. But the check-out queues are a misery, as consistently Sisyphisian day in and day out as looking for Guatemalan bananas at the Sunday green market. I have repeatedly watched customers abandon purchases when they come upon a 40-person queue. I know the organizers are trying to fix matters but the game is on. Is Trader Joe’s check out process the new standard?

AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE AND FOOD QUALITY!! THEY CALL UP INEPT MANAGERS TO TELL YOU YOU CAN'T EXCHANGE SOMETHING THAT THEY KNOW YOU PURCHASED IN THE STORE. THEY FAIL TO TELL CUSTOMERS TO KEEP THEIR RECEIPTS SINCE THEY DON'T GIVE YOU ANY PROOF OF EXCHANGE. THE BERRIES I BOUGHT HERE ARE ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING AND ARE EMANATING A STENCH AFTER 1 DAY OF PURCHASE. LOOK AT PHOTO. THIS IS WHAT THEY'RE SELLING TO OUR COMMUNITY. IF YOU VALUE YOUR HEALTH, PLEASE DON'T SHOP HERE. IN REPORTING THEM TO FOOD SAFETY.

I cancelled my membership at this store because on multiple occasions I received an unacceptable level of customer service.

There were several instances that led to me resigning my membership. The first of which is an incident where I was told I would not be able to receive my membership benefits on my next trip without my card despite having ID. I explained that my child had emptied my wallet and that I had not lost the card - it was just temporarily misplaced. The supervisor was unwavering in his position and had an extremely unfriendly disposition.

The final incident was one in which they had an incorrect sign on lettuce. The difference in price was two dollars. The cashier, her supervisor, and the manager all gave me a hard time about a sign that they all agreed was in front of the lettuce that a young man in produce handed to me as the sale item. He even confirmed this. This entire ordeal went on for over 30 minutes about two dollars. At this point, I did the majority of my shopping in this overpriced store and that was the last time.

I went there once and showed them corn that was rotting so they pulled it off the shelf. I went back the next day and it was back on the shelf with the tops cut off. Their produce sucks.

I once asked for an empty deli container so that I could give my child a portion of whatever it was that I purchased and the deli clerk refused. Are they rationing out deli containers? There is no logical explaination as to why she could not have granted that simple request other than the fact that it is apparent that this store is extremely lacking in customer service training.

I started shopping at Natural Frontier and...

Wide range of reputable organic brands & products but much of the produce/inventory are comprised due to poor quality control, many items airtight seals are broken, produce is always moldy or bruised, frozen items are neglected and left to thaw and melt before being stocked in the freezers. (CHECK All ITEMS THOROUGHLY FOR COMPROMISED PACKAGING!) It’s a shame this establishment could have the potential to be a substantial competitor to all the other natural grocery store enterprises in Brooklyn however they’ll never franchise due to the miss management of the inept administration team that’s been there for over a decade, I don’t know which owner they’re related to but the mediocre in-optimal management of the store is very observable. every encounter I’ve had with an admin, they always come off like they don’t want to work there, which is crazy cause I know individuals 10 times more competent and proficient that would be happy to manage/optimize this place without being ungrateful, passive aggressive, and egocentric.

P.S.A Be wary a couple of the cashiers like to take their day out on your groceries by slamming them on the counter and throwing them into your checkout bag.

my opinion, if you don’t appreciate your position you shouldn’t have it, you’re driving your business into the ground and behaving like you’re not getting payed enough to stand around, stalk attractive customers around the store and occasionally do data entry/bookkeeping…the entitlement is wild, some of em literally act like...

I realize that these are very stressful times but the guy at the door really needs an attitude adjustment. This afternoon I was on line with an aid. We weren't standing next to each other because we wanted to obey the six feet rule. So he motioned to go in I thought that was for the two of us until he says ma'am, ma'am, I turned around and he says come and stand back at the line I didn't tell you to go in. I went back out and the aid says but we're together. He says you'll weren't standing together and you didn't say anything to me. Then he tells me she could start shopping. I told him she's an aid. He tells me that I should of gone in first that would of been the smart thing to do.

Now that was rude, disrespectful and not neccessary. If I'm there with an aid we both need to be in that store together but that's neither here nor there it should not have been said. Why I still went shopping in there is beyond me but I did end up leaving.

Like I said I understand these are stressful times but he has a job to do and it is not being rude. Just like he makes mistakes so do other people and he needs to handle situations better. Had he not said what he said you would not be receiving this review but I'm sure I'm not the first person he treated like this and I know I won't...
