Often home to interesting / innovative shows but its risky. I am surprised that this space hasn't become home to more successful productions. Years ago I saw an Obie winning play at HERE and it was home to the original Symphonie Fantastic (which I can not lie - I hated) but which was a tremendous success.
In recent years I have not been drawn to productions but tonight I went to see a production of Tender Naplam - a really hard script - but great actors.
Also the cafe could be significantly better. The whole place seemed very under funded / under staffed tonight.
Maybe they should seek out a partnership with a place like the TANK that seems to have more to put on than their tiny space can hold?
Fyi there is a TERRIBLE staircase - impossible for older theater crowd - make sure to ask for the elevator - they have one - its just not obvious - staff escort you to a different...
