Love the Brand. Love the store and it's location.I was so happy to find this NY store where I could actually go in and see all Dainese has to offer. In the past I purchased all my gear from the Dainese website.Never had any issues ordering from the website directly.I had a good experience my first time purchasing at the 6ave store.I purchased Riding jeans, jacket, boots and a few other misc. things from Dainese on 6th ave. Problem I went back almost a year later to buy a pair of Tempest D Dry gloves.I noticed my right hand pinky finger giving me some pain.Later that day I took a good look at the gloves to see what's going on.The pinky on glove clearly looked pre curved with a slight twist to the right. The fabric inside the glove at pinky was bunched up at the tip.It felt very uncomfortable when tapping pinky finger on a flat surface. My finger tip felt numb.It was clearly defective. You could see it just by holding it in front of you.It looked like a claw compared to the rest of the fingers. I called up the sales man that sold it to me. I explained the situation. All I want is a replacement glove. Not both gloves. The glove is still new and you could clearly see there is a problem with it.Salesman tells me what so many others would say.Give it time to break in.Again (Pain) You could clearly see the claw like finger. It's defective.MAYBE IRREGULAR.I'm in (PAIN) My commute is 1 hour 1/2 one way.(Pain) I went back in person. It took me 1hr to get there from midtown during rush hour.On motorcycle. I walk in and it was close to closing. There is 2 guys. Doing what appears like the end of the day paperwork. Both nice guys and was treated respectfully.I was told the store does not deal with warranties.Issues go straight to the manufacturer. They took a photo of the glove and said someone will reach out to me by email. At that point i left disappointed and expected to never hear from them. The gloves was about $120.00.I lost that same amount heading over to the store in rush hour traffic. This happen in December 2018 and I just don't have the time to pursue this. But I want to give people a heads up.If you buy from the store once you leave this could happen to you.Make sure you check your items before you leave the location. As for a crooked finger this could get missed by anybody. Customer service problem: I said the product caused me (Pain) in my finger. It's obviously a distraction to me also when riding.*(PAIN) They did nothing for me.I love this brand but I was mentally disappointed with their store policy. Now I see they have warranty support on their website under what we offer LOL It also has returns within 30 days on the site. I never asked for my money back and they really didn't offer me any solution. They couldn't switch one glove? Really? Companies like this all they care about is sales.I'm just one disappointed customer out of thousands.Overall , I have no issues with the salesmen.Even if they seemed trained to blow off customers with new purchase gear issues. Will be posting pictures of gloves when I have time.
6 ave Store Someone will get back to you by email.
Thanks a lot Dainese 6ave.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had a very unfortunate interaction with the manager of Dainese NYC which will result me in not shopping there again. This is especially unfortunate since I really enjoyed meeting Daniel, the salesmen that helped me with my original sale. I've been riding for 6 years and only ever worn Dainese. I've visited their stores in Italy and love their brand so it pains me to write this review.
I came in and picked out a nice pair of their tan boots which are fantastic and a new pair of winter gloves. On the ride home, the boots were perfect, but I noticed the grip with the gloves wasn't optimal compared to my other pair of Dainese gloves that I had.
I returned to the store three days later to return only the gloves. The manager ended up confronting me and informed me that he couldn't process the return since there was a tear/mark on the right glove. Since I had worn them only one time (from the original ride home from the store), I was surprised as I didn't notice this blemish on the glove. He was very confrontational and didn't provide any path forward to resolving the matter. I tried to explain to him that I myself hadn't noticed this and it could very well have been on the gloves when I bought them. Of course, it also could have been from the one ride home but I couldn't be sure. This wasn't sufficient to the manager, so the transaction wouldn't be proceeding. At that point, my entire experience was ruined so I just left the gloves at the store without receiving a refund.
The takeaway here is Dainese NYC is willing to throw away a relationship with a longtime customer and lover of the brand over a $99 pair of gloves. I would have been happy to pay some sort of restocking fee but no path forward was provided. I was going to return to get a new jacket but unfortunately I will be going to CycleGear where they have a better policy around customer service and returns/exchanges.
I hope that Dainese can amend their policy so their customer service can match the quality of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is truly an example of customer service at its best. During the Labor Day week, I wanted to take advantage of the helmet sale at Dainese NYC. Before heading there, I called the store and spoke with Chino, who was extremely helpful in checking availability. Fortunately, they had the helmet I wanted in my size, and he kindly set it aside for me.
When I arrived the next day, I was greeted by Victor, and I have to say he treated me like royalty. He went above and beyond in explaining the details of the helmets in stock and even informed me of some great offers. Thanks to his guidance, I was able to pick up a Bluetooth communication system and a stylish helmet bag at a fantastic price.
Hereās where the difference between online shopping and true customer service really showed itself. My helmet required a special adapter for the Bluetooth, but the store was out of stock at the time. Victor immediately ordered the part, promised to call me once it arrived, and even offered to help with the installation depending on store traffic. Sure enough, he kept his word. When the part came in, he called me personally and invited me back.
The installation wasnāt simple, especially for someone inexperienced like me, but Victor took on the challenge without hesitation. He even brought some of his personal tools to ensure the job was done right. We spent close to an hour working on the helmet, and he was meticulous every step of the way, making sure everything was properly set up and polished to perfection.
Victor didnāt just sell me somethingāhe owned the entire experience, followed up, and made sure I left completely satisfied. This level of dedication and professionalism is something you will never find online or even at most physical stores.
From now on, Dainese NYC will be my go-to store for all my riding gear, and Iāll be looking forward to working with Victor every time I visit. He truly set the gold standard for customer service in the industry, and by a...
