I called to see if this business framed needlepoint. I had been doing business with Richard for a year now. Richard told me that he had a needlepoint expert to get it ready for him to frame. I also brought in 3 pieces to be framed. Richard told me that he would call me with price quotes & progress. I waited & Richard never called. After having to chase Richard, he said that he had the items ready for me. He never quoted me any prices, he just framed them and charged my card $1,590.00‼️ He also had everything wrapped so I couldn’t see anything until i returned home. Imagine my shock at that sticker price! Something I NEVER would have agreed to. He destroyed the needlepoint that took me a month to complete. No apologies. He actually screamed at me that he had 185 pieces to finish & I should “cut him a break”!! Perhaps Richard should be grateful for the business so he doesn’t have to stand in a food line. I’ve retrieved my ruined needlepoint. You can clearly see the quality of work at J Pocker. I would advise avoiding this shop at all costs. It isn’t...
Read moreI came in to J. Pocker with 2 very important and sensitive documents. I wasn't sure exactly how I wanted to frame each of them and wanted to talk through some ideas. Most importantly he understood these were anniversary presents for my wife and was extremely communicative with me about when I can expect them knowing how time sensitive they were. He worked hard to give me the exact delivery dates given the factory down time in August, and at the end of the day he delivered them early! Not only that he helped me find someone to hang them for me. All around an A++++ shop to work with and couldn't recommend them higher....
Read moreWe have a large, heavy, antique mirror that were leery of rehanging after some recent renovations. We contacted J Pocker & Son and they sent Terry Green to assess the mirror and its condition. We wanted to be sure that the mirror was still a solid piece of furniture and if it needed repair that it would be done by a reputable firm. Mr. Green was very informative and very patient with all of our many concerns. He pronounced the mirror to be in excellent condition (showing us the different joints and levels of the framing that were holding the mirror together), gave us recommendations as to how to hang it in the safest manner (the types of hardware to use), and the name of a firm that would be able to do the job. We are most grateful to Terry Green of J...
