Kona nail & spa — Attraction in New York

This was the worst nail salon and nail experience I’ve ever had in my whole entire life. The First Lady, in which I believe is the owner of the shop completely disappointed me with her poor customer service and professionalism. I came into the shop and paid $65+$5 tip to get ombré acrylic nails. During the filing of my nails. The tech cut me THREE times. Four days after my nails were completed 5 of my nails fell completely off. While the remaining five were already rising, when I called the shop to give them a courtesy call, and let them know my nails fell off the owner / person who cut me was rude and hung up on me! When I finally came in, she sat me with a different technician who wanted to glue my nails back on. When I requested I wanted my nails completely re done. The owner told me I would have TO PAY then proceeded to argued with me loudly in the middle of the shop, while clients were around. Telling me I would have to repay for my nails! Never in my life have any of my nails ever fallen off in 4 days. She accused me of lying about my cuts, in which the day she cut me, she had apologized to me about! The new tech tried to calm me down and proceeded to give me a full set of nails with regular-polish! After I paid $65 for ombré acrylic four days prior! So basically my money was wasted! To add Injury to insult the new tech CUT ME AGAIN! So now I have a $25 full set of nails on, I lost out on the ombré acrylic nails I paid for, I’ve been humiliated in a shop full of clients and this was MY FIRST EXPERIENCE! I’m never going back and I would advise anyone who likes their hard earned money to please go somewhere else, where they won’t cut you ! Terrible customer service. Horrible! I honestly can’t believe people go...

I came here after roaming this neighborhood for a nice and affordable nail salon. Despite the empty establishment .. nothing seemed too off. The staff appears to be Bengali and there were only 3 girls working including the owner “Kona” who was the person who did my nails. I got a full set with non-gel paint that was 22$. I was very clear on how I liked my nails with THIN acrylic and narrow in shape (not coffin) The shape was beautiful although every nail was inconsistent in the amount of acrylic, they weren’t intolerable. When it came down to the paint job, I felt rushed and when I was drying the paint began to bubble and lift. When I showed Kona, the owner, she claimed she could not see what I was referring too. As did other staff members. She then began to ask me “what do you want”. I told her I wanted to re do them, she then ordered me to sit. I explained, I had been there for over an hr and have to leave as I have children in school, so I’d like to come back the next day. She was insisting I stay and get them repainted. Once I got loud and out of character, she agrees to let me come back the next day. Here is a picture of 3 of my finger nails bubbling up. The same Nails the owner along with her employees denied seeing. SMH. after they fix my nails. I Will Never come back !!! They do not know what...

Never again. This was my second tome going. I went last year and it was ok. I went back sept 24, 2020 and my nails look trash today is October 5th and my nail popped completely off. The nail polish chipped within 3 day’s and it look like a little kid playing in acrylic did my nails. The only good thing about this place was they were clean and wanted to try do get my nails to look as close to a picture I showed them and nice . Over all fail. I paid $54 for a craft project. I wasn’t able to go back and get it fixed so I’m Just over it! I’ve put pictures in here. I just uploaded another picture today October 7th , two days after this review and I have two nails off now Instead of 1 and my finger hurts & is tender.
