Came in telling them I wanted to replace my entire p-trap drain under my kitchen sink. I had already gone into Lowe's the previous night trying to fix the system by replacing the washers and nuts holding the brass slip joints together, but failed even after going back twice to try a different part.

The employee who helped me convinced me not to replace the entire system, explaining to me with a piece of the drain system I brought in that solid brass is too valuable and long lasting not to salvage. Using the two elbow pipes and washers+nuts that I already had, he showed me the right washers and how to properly reinstall the drain system. I got home and had it fixed in no more than 5 minutes (after spending hours trying to figure it out myself the previous night).

I go to Mazzone Hardware a lot. I like to patronize small businesses if I can, and although both Lowe's and Home Depot are in walking distance, if it's something that Mazzone carries, that's where I'll go. The staff are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. You walk in there and ask what the best 3/8" anchor is to hold over 100 lbs downward pressure in a joist (from the ceiling), and they'll pull the part off the rack and hand it to you. Ask the same question at Lowe's, and you'll talk to seven people before you realize that they haven't a bloody clue what you're even talking about, and hand you some generic drywall anchor. Didn’t redeem the coupon because I don’t come here often to at all, I always suffer buyers remorse after leaving here no matter what the purchase

I came back in September buying the same thing some paint, I pull out the coupon I was given in August.
