Days before 1/15/2020 I called in & asked the Robert about the least expensive car on the site. I was told it cost $17,000. I asked about the $16,600 price on the site & he told me I can get it for that price. I told him I intended to buy it cash, but also asked if itās possible to break up the payments of the $16,600 & if you have to pay interest even if you pay it on time. He informed me there would still be taxes but that was possible & suggested a lease.
I came in on 1/15/2020 & numerous times including during the test drive I told Robert that I wanted to buy it cash. When I came in he brought up another higher priced car. I reiterated that I wanted to purchase the $16,600 car specifically because that's what I could afford & that's what I had. He then suggested financing & said the interest is lower. After repeatedly asking if I'd only be paying off the rest of the $16,600 plus tax for the pay out & being given the impression that I could, I put down $7,000. I gave no pay stubs. Told them I made little to nothing last year. Told them that I made $18,000 the previous year which was the most I've ever made annually. I also told him I pay $663/month rent in a low income apartment. I donāt have a regular job.
I was then sent to Lawrence who I informed of my desire to pay if off fully. He told me I can raise my credit if I finance. Although I made my desire clear, I took the time to listen to what he said. He drew out on a piece of paper the interest rates & months. I asked what it will equal. I asked for the piece of scrap paper he wrote it on & he wouldnāt give it to me. I was told about the car washes, oil changes, etc. & I asked what are any extra charges in the plan other than just breaking up the payments on the $16,600+ tax Lawrence was presenting & he told me there was no extra charge it was all free. I asked 3 times what's the catch because it sounded too good to be true & he didn't answer. He strongly suggested that I do a finance for 72 months which I just learned was the worse deal you can get, said I'll get 6% interest & can come in & re-negotiate the contract. I repeatedly asked if I could come back & pay off the rest of the $16,600 with tax if I came back in a few days & was told, "Yes, you'll be paying off the rest of the finance". I repeatedly asked how much would that be & he was evasive. At some point I was told I'd have to find out from the bank what they've calculated the payments would be. The ONLY reason I signed the contract was because I was given the impression that I can come back in, an option on the contract that Lawrence conveniently didnāt mention.
On 1/19/2020 the fuel cap which I had never used was malfunctioning & I had to come in for service to get it fixed.
6 days later on 1/21/2020 an $25,000 auto loan appeared on my account from Chase. I immediately called Nissan, then the bank knowing the charge was outrageous considering I put down $7,000 for a $16,600 car although the more I put down shouldāve decreased the payments.
The next day, 1/23/2020 I went to Nissan Versa of Queens asked to speak to whoever is in charge of the establishment & was rudely handed off to a sales manager (Tony?) who said he won't take sides meaning he wouldn't acknowledge that what was taken out was a predatory loan, & that he trusts Lawrenceās character as a friend. He also informed me it was just business & that I should just get over it. I called Chase numerous times while I was there & each representative informed me that not only was it possible for Nissan to fix it but, itās in their hands. Lawrence & the sales manager (Tony?) said they won't try, it won't work & Chase is lying just to seem like they take care of their customers, which is something the employees at Nissan havenāt seemed to care about so far.
On 1/15/202 I handed them $7,000 & 12 days later they have me w/ a $25,000 loan to pay for a $16,600 car. Which would ultimately be over twice the price of the car. Greedy, malicious, & wicked.
Update: I called Nissan & the front desk gave me the run around &...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNissan of Queens, 93-25 Rockaway Blvd., Ozone Park, NY 11417 ā Purchased 2023 Rogue SV AWD, Blue: 9/07/2023: Very polite and friendly staff members: Anthony Boucaud Jr., Alexandra Marte. Incentivized to shop by UFT Teachers Union email. Browsed inventory, selected car, requested āGet Our Best Priceā as displayed and suggested below the displayed car and MSRP price. Received immediate email and phone call. This is Michael Minerva writing. Patricia reviewed this letter and approved it. My wife, Patricia, and I, (retired senior citizens), visited Nissan Of Queens, with the trade-in car we offered, 2012 Ford Focus SE, āgoodā condition, LOW mileage: 44,200 miles, NO accidents, NO dents, NO damage: Kelley Blue Book: $4,000, Edmunds: $3,500. First failure: Nissan offered $2,000, NOT that we expected rated value, but, $2,000? Second failure: we were told that there was a āDealerās Feeā of $2,000 ($1,999 to be exact, but letās skip the ridiculous missing dollar), this was NOT the ādestination feeā or any other LISTED fee. āDealerās Feeā was a concealed, secretive fee, revealed at time of projected sale. This āfeeā was NOT listed, implied, or identified on the Nissan website car stock display. My wife and I could not fathom where this āfeeā came from, or what purpose it served, besides increasing the Nissan profit margin at the customerās expense. We said: āNo thank youā and prepared to leave. Anthony, to HIS credit, asked that we show him the listed price ON the Nissan website, of the car in question: we did, and, Anthony removed the mysterious and deceptive āDealerās Feeā, to meet the advertised price, which had precipitated our visit to the sales showroom. Third failure: I then said: āWe came in BECAUSE we chose āGet Our Best Priceā on that car selection, and Alexandra asked us to come in.ā The advertised price, on the website display, read: $33,260, MSRP, which I screen captured, for my own satisfaction, but, I showed Anthony the display from the Nissan website on a computer, live. Your staff dropped the price $260 ā only. Really? ONLY $260 below the advertised price? We really expected a larger discount. Considering we were negotiating on a ā$33,000 plusā vehicle, $260 seemed a bit insultingā¦? And, please, letās not bring up the missing, duplicitous āDealerās Feeā, which should NEVER have entered into the equation. Okay, now that I have vented, I wish to say that your staff was very polite, helpful, conversant, and pretty much cooperative, as much as Nissan would permit. We must give credit to Anthony Boucaud Jr. for the progress and completion of the sale. He even insisted that we take a similar vehicle for a test drive, and, Anthony accurately answered all of questions and concerns. Anthony facilitated payment, registration, insurance preparation, and owner transfer of the new car and our trade-in car. Regarding āfeaturesā: we had previously purchased a late model 2017 Nissan Rogue Sport SV AWD at Great Neck Nissan, in December, 2017. Our 2017 Rogue had features that were MISSING on the 2023 Rogue (full size) SV AWD, which is SIX years NEWER: no heated seats, NO heated steering wheel. Really? Nissan removed these 2 features on a more expensive model, six years newer? NOT what we expected. To be honest, we expected MORE features! We only discovered these two features were missing after we drove home with the new car. We expected a pop up trunk and push button trunk closure, by NOW. Our 2012 Ford Focus had a pop up trunk! My sonās 2014 Nissan Pathfinder has a pop up trunk and push button trunk closure ā 2014!!! We did not feel it was necessary to spend more money on the Rogue SL, just for additional features ā that SHOULD have been standard, by now! Just venting, again. I apologize, but, who knew??? Thank you, for the new 2023 Nissan Rogue. The blue color is mesmerizing and very welcome. The ride is very comfortable. And, once again, your staff was very knowledgeable...
Ā Ā Ā Read more!!!!!PLEASE READ AND UPVOTE THIS!!!!! This dealership is an absolute SCAM! Please do not purchase your car here. The finance department is so inaccessible and they get angry when you try to figure out whatās going on. I would give them zero stars if I could. Please keep reading if you want to know what happened to me. āāāāā- When I purchased my used car, I also purchased a Nissan Security Plus vehicle service contract to cover any mechanicals breakdowns that should occur. I used my warranty once to repair my car at the Nissan of Queens Service center and everything was great. Then, I had another issue with my car and brought it to another Nissan dealer closer to my house. This dealer service center tells me that Iām not coming up in the system as a Nissan Security Plus vehicle contract holder at all. Iām confused, so I call Nissanās corporate line, and they also couldnāt find any record of my vehicle service contract. When I called Nissan of Queens about it, the financial manager Alex was very rude. He told me that Nissan had cancelled my service contract due to vague internal reasons 6 days after I purchased the car and that the dealer sent me a check for $2000 to reimburse me. In a very rude tone, he claimed āYou were told that earlier when you brought your car for service that you did not have Nissan Security Plus anymore. We did it as a courtesy for you since you are our customer.ā I was never told this information and I never received any check. I called Nissanās corporate offices back, and they told me that I never had a vehicle service contract. Even if I had one for 6 days and it was cancelled, it would still come up in the system. So this dealership completely lied to me on MULTIPLE occasions and forced me to pay for a service that I never even received. On top of that, they were rude and failed to contact me about the refund they owed me. If you want to save yourself a lot of heartache, headaches, and hassle, purchase your car at literally any...
