Prisca Nails — Attraction in New York

Prisca Nails is the worst nail salon i’ve ever been to. They had just recently opened up on my block and I needed a new place to go to since the one I used to go to had closed down. The place is very neat and clean when you first walk in but this wasn’t the case with the workers. The first problem I had with this place was that there was no protective layer from the pedicure station with the water. Usually I see salons with a plastic layer but this one did not have it. The second problem I encountered at this salon was that the woman who did my pedicure was not wearing a mask. I’m not sure if she had allergies or not but this woman kept sneezing on my feet as she was doing my pedicure. I didn’t mind it at first but she wasn’t sneezing into her elbow, she was sneezing directly on my feet. After the pedicure I noticed that she had clipped my ingrown toenail which I specifically asked her not to cut because it was hurting. I don’t think she understood me so she was probably thinking I asked her to cut it but I didn’t. The polish job was okay there was nothing really to complain about but for my nails she kept having to clean up the sides of my nails with nail polish remover when she was painting them. Chris did an amazing job with my pedicure, Katie on the other hand was very rude and left a customer to do her own nails instead of asking the customer if she needs any help, then Katie and her other coworkers laughed and talked in they’re own language making fun of the customer. Management didn’t say anything until closing which was 20 mins after the girl sat down trying to file her nail polish off. Then another nail tech had to step in and finish her pedicure. This is unacceptable. On top of that, Katie try to charge me 120$ for my painting my own nails (literally just drawing starts and other stuff on my nail) I went to a+ nails right next door to get an estimate and they said 90$. Never going back here again. The lady who did my nails caught an attitude with me because I kept having to tell her what I wanted over and over again. She wasn’t paying attention & was rushing to get the job done. She left the UV hard gel paper thin and didn’t want to add more product because she had already filed my nails. She would have had to refile all of the nails once again. The edges of my nails were missing product and I pointed it out to her, so she had no choice but to add more on every nail.
