Quality Tile — Attraction in New York

Be very careful if you choose to purchase tiles here, especially in cash. The store is beautiful and the salesmen are friendly but they are very disorganized and dishonest.

We purchased floor tiles and backsplash tiles. When the time came to pick up the floor tiles at the warehouse we were given the wrong tiles. We noticed once we got home and opened the boxes. When we called, they said the warehouse was closing in 30 mins, that we had to wait until Monday and we were alright with that. We just asked that they confirm the correct ones were in stock and they reassured us. Come Monday when we got to the warehouse and took the sample we had with us, they said it was an old tile and that they no longer had it. They gave us a sample of a different tile to take home. We chose to go with that tile and when we went to the warehouse the third time - we were once again given the wrong one. The same wrong ones we were given the first time. They didn’t have the tiles of the 2nd sample they had given us either. In the end we decided to just stay with that one.

We then decided to return the backsplash tiles and were told there was a 25% restocking fee - when prior to purchasing everything we were always told we could return anything we didn’t use without any mention of a fee.

When we came to the store and tried to explain all the difficulties we experienced the manager/owner, Anthony, came out, cut us off, and said the fee was non-negotiable, take it or leave it.

In the end the salesman who worked with us from the start, Manny, took care of us. But it was overall a very unpleasant experience.

Just think twice maybe thrice before purchasing anything here. It seems like they make up prices for items that they don’t even have labeled nor are they aware of what is or isn’t in stock in their warehouse. The service is very poor and Anthony is uncompromising and very disrespectful. I honestly felt as women they treated us differently, but I haven’t personally seen how...

This is one the worst businesses in the Bronx. Frankly speaking, the management folks at Quality Tile are more like crooks than businessmen. Primary reason, they'll overcharge you, so you are better off shopping elsewhere. Second, despite they tell you- returns are accepted, when you actually go there to return any items they'll charge a 25% handling charge. Not only they charge you an absurd 25% handling, they are literally hostile to you, as if returning materials is some sort of a crime. In addition to the 25% handling charge, they will cheat you with base price by estimating a superficial price on the returned items. I'll NEVER DO BUSINESS with Quality Tile. Do yourself a favor by never giving business to these dishonest crooks. I wish I could give these crooks less...

I would like to thank Manny from Quality Tiles. Very nice person and very patient and also has a very good eye on tiles and what will match. I stepped into the store not really knowing what I wanted. All I know is I wanted a bright white wall with some gray marble vein. Although there is a wide variety the bright white tile is not easy to find. But Manny quickly found a tile that I like and he also found a beautiful tile floor to match with it. Manny even drew my bathroom on a piece of paper so I could picture the layout. All in all I was in the store for 45 min and picked all the tiles. So thank you so much Manny! I cannot wait to see the new bathroom with all the beautiful tiles...
