If I could rate a 0 I would. This location just lost my business and I informed my family members and colleagues that are NYCDOE officials Not to shop here. I will also use every means as a city employee to notify other such employees in the system not to shop at this location at ...... Broadway Bronx NY 10....
As I made a purchase today on ink toner for my printer. I had to demand a refund do to the rudness, disrespectful and lack of professional demeanour of Bryan ...a cashier at this location.
As I waiting on the line to make a purchase I noticed that another customer approached Bryan to ask a question. With no consideration to me...I waited patiently. As I waited to get called to the counter and I approached I requested ink from behind the counter. I was precise about the brand and model number and was clear in the description. Bryan appeard to be a little confused about the item. No problem it happens.
However the demeanor in which he place it in the bag and didn't hand me the bag was the red light. So, am I, as the customer supposed to reach over the counter to get what I paid for???
Finally when I received my purchase I sensed an attitude. As I walked away noded my head ...Bryan look at me and responded..." WHAT"...I responded to him for real....you can't give me my bag and as I waiting on line....you put me on hold to address someone else while I'm waiting.
Bryan offered no apology so I asked for his manager. He directed me with more attitude. As I explained the situation with the manager I got the sense this has been a reoccurring issue. My response to Bryan was he should work someplace else if he didn't want to be there. The buying public should not have to put up with his lack or courtesy. Bryan responded" I ain't talking to you". He was remove from the cashiers post.
After demanding a refund all service personal I came in contact with in the store apologized. Bryan offered none, just a bold face, want to be "Thug" street attitude. At this point my reply...I wonder if you took that attitude from the street.
In conclusion...I did some research in the review of this location and discoverd...This same Bryan had a run in with his rude vibe with a former customer just three weeks ago. So why isn't he fired.....everyone has a bad day. However terrible service isn't acceptable to the power of the buying power. A daft of this will be sent to their regional...
Read moreDAVID is awesome! I went there struggling to find the best resources to start drawing a new series of sketches. I was looking at an assortment of things and was utterly confused about what I want and where I could find them. I’ve shopped at Staples on only two other occasions in my entire life because I usually prefer Amazon or Target or Walmart. A group of Staples employees just stood five feet away from me, talking, and never approaching me to help. I then went to them to ask for paper and ink and they just told me the aisle numbers and went back to gossiping. One of the other customers even told her friend, “I think they’re talking about me! They were laughing at me.” I had a feeling that was true as well.
Looking for some more inspiration I sort of wandered into a different aisle and David came over enthusiastically asking me how he could help. I asked for a pen and he is asked if it was a specific purpose. And out poured my anguish and excitement and David just rolled with it. He showed me different pens and we spread sketchbooks on the floor trying to find the right one. He was kind, patient and kept throwing more ideas at me to let me find my comfort zone. He himself is an artist and I loved it when he recommended things he personally used. It was brilliant and it was exactly the help I was looking for.
I was apprehensive about shopping on amazon because I hate returning things and I wasn’t sure what to order. I wanted to hold things and try them out so I went to the store. David made it a hundred times better and the helpful store assistant is the reason I would find myself shopping in a store. Thanks David! I hope he goes far at Staples and beyond, he is awesome in understanding customers and does everything he can to help.
PS: I NEVER...
Read moreI don't usually do this but today I felt very hurt, seeing how one of your staff was totally unfair with his attitude towards my 7 year old daughter who was standing in line for a few minutes to pay for some small toys. But the person at the register who is supposed to be cordial, empathetic and I would say understanding, a little kindness doesn't hurt anyone simply left my daughter standing and moved to the next register I called the next customer and yelled with a mask Since she was allergic to dogs (the dog that I had in my arms and that I was separated from my daughter, giving her the freedom and responsibility that she had to pay) 🤔I wonder about the dreams that carried the smell and even the hair of dogs and they are close to her they do not cause allergies 🤧 or only when the animal is an 8 week old baby and is 4 or 5 feet away. Not for me that was unfair because my daughter needs her dog for emotional support. She was confused and did not understand why it was her turn and they did not attend. I respect the “lady's allergy,” but a word to the client was enough to understand her discriminate and unempathetic attitude. I have been visiting this place for over 12 years and it is the first time I have found someone of that type here where customer service is, we did not complain while there was no one at the register and the “MISS” I spoke to someone but she couldn't have a little drop of kindness with a little girl. Excuse me, I think this is the first time I have written about a bad experience, but it was difficult to explain to the girl that although she does not understand her, when she is humiliated, they offend her or trample on her mother's dignity if it hurts her. A little common sense and kindness is very important in a...
