Because I’m having a vision issue and my husband is away on business, I decided to order from Peapod. What a mistake. I ordered last night for delivery today between 10 and 11 while I was ordering I decided to order a cake and a pie in addition to my regular orders since I would be paying $16.95 for delivery This this morning, I receive a call asking if they could replace my pie in my cake and letting me know that the rotisserie chicken does not cook until noon. I told him forget about the pie the cake I didn’t want to substitute And they told me that my order could not be delivered later so I couldn’t get the rotisserie chicken. Well, I thought to myself at least I’ll be getting my Jones braunschweiger liverworst, so I would have something to eat and I really did not need the sweets. When I got my order, I got my pie and I got my cake which was a nice surprise but unfortunately, my liver worst was jones morning ham which I do not eat I called Stop & Shop and they said they were not able to come and switch it, they said they have a different company deliver their orders and asked don’t I have somebody who could drive me down there to switch it? If I had somebody to drive me down there, I would not have ordered it online. Now I’m without anything for lunch, no rotisserie chicken or liver worst. They did refunding my money for the morning ham that I’m throwing out. I will never use them again. Spending $16.95 for nothing. No wonder their stores are closing for lack...
Read moreUpdate in response to their response: While I do appreciate management getting back to me, I don't appreciate them lying to me and others reading these reviews trying to decide if it's worth going to their store. I went to your store last night out of desperation. There was no limiting, the store was crowded and was definitely not allowing optimal space for social distance. There were countless customers (at least in the double digits) without masks roaming the store, leaving a lot of shoppers actively avoiding those aisles until they left. Whether you agree with the masks or not, it's clear you don't care about the customers. It's nice that you're working with the government but it would be even better if you actually "felt" social distancing is an issue in your own store. As uneasy as some customers looked with the mask-less shoppers, I can only imagine how your essential staff feels knowing their management doesn't care about them.
Original Review: This review is reflecting how the store is handling the current pandemic. The store is consistently over crowded, and nobody is enforcing social distancing or wearing masks. I have seen multiple customers walking around without masks and management does nothing, leaving the shoppers and staff at risk. Stock is terrible either not enough is ordered or there isn't enough staff to stock the shelves to keep up with their decision to not limit the amount of people in the store. Poor...

I sent my son an electronic gift certificate as a house warming because he just moved out on his own. He filled his online shopping cart and was eagerly awaiting his first grocery delivery. At the time it was due to be delivered he got an alert that it was cancelled. That was on November 7th. He called to find out what happened to his delivery and was then told that his identity had to be verified. He then called three more times to find out where his $150 was and if his identity was verified.
I personally spoke to Aleah on 11/15 at 4:43PM. She told me she was able to pull up the record and saw that the ticket had been closed by the previous agent meaning that it was resolved. I assured her that is was not. She said she needed to email Accounts Receivable and that they don’t have a phone number so she would just have to wait until they get back to her. After an hour on the phone she apologized profusely and said we would just have to wait until accounts receivable reach out to my son. They do not return money to gift cards and will not exchange for cash. All excellent information from Aleah and I felt like we were finally getting somewhere. It’s now nearly a month after the conversation with Aleah and SIX WEEKS since the order was cancelled. My son’s $500 gift card is still less $150 and he has received no correspondence from...
