I really wanted to give this place 5 stars 🌟 even 7 if i could, but what is keeping me from doing that is that guy from Mauritania 🇲🇷 he is the rudest person I've ever met.
I go to this place as my first and only place to obtain halal meat and Mediterranean products. The other guys are amazing; welcoming ; kind and helpful. Great service good prices 👏. But that guy always ruins your day and give you bad experience at this place. He doesn't know how to talk or treat others, he never smiles (smiling is critic to this job) and looks down to pple when he talks to them. Simply so disrespectful.
After all these years and at this day and age he still failed to obtain the simplest etiquette and behaviors he was so pathetic and what makes me sad is that he will reproduce and make his offspring get the same behaviors and attitudes, he will cause harm to this nation.
Other than that, i still love this place it was the first place i went to when i first came to the US and they were nice; kind and welcoming...i love the other workers i have huge respect for them all. I would still go to this store and support them. Despite the bad experiences i had with that horrible person.
لا حول ولا قوة إلا بالله العلي العظيم. استغفر الله...

I had a very disappointing experience at this grocery store in Astoria. Several items were scanned twice at the cashier (and don’t be fooled, this didn’t seem like an honest mistake). Always check your receipt carefully before you leave.
The tall guy wearing a hat who was in charge of the store on June 10th around 7 PM : he’s the one who overcharged me and seemed to be running this scam.
The quality of the meat is also very questionable. The ground beef I bought was so fatty it was practically inedible.
The containers of olives were deliberately left filled with water so they weigh more (another sneaky trick to overcharge customers). On top of that, the quality of the dates was completely disappointing. For the high prices they charge, you’d expect much better quality and service.
I do not recommend shopping here. There are plenty of other grocery stores in Astoria that are more honest, with better quality, fair prices, and more variety of products from...
Read moreI bought a two pounds Madjoul dates for almost double the price compare to what I pay in different stores. Home, we found that the dates were harder as candies, which is not the nature of the Madjouls. I called the store to report what I got, the man first tried to deny the fact, then tried to convince me that it was only the cold weather at the end he started yelling on the phone saying that he's not an expert in the dates. It wasn't enough for him to be disrt, he hung up the phone on me. We get to storesز owned by fellow Muslims or Arabians, thinking that what we share as a believe may get them to be honest. Unfortunately, it is never the case. I walked into this store just because a friend from Pennsylvania knew I was in New York and wanted me to buy him couple items. I felt the taste for dates and what I got is abuse, lies and disrespect. Shame on you brothers Muslims, and...
