I love this set of statues. Whimsical, fun but also kind of cynical. Note that some of the characters are on the top of the light poles around the site. Also; all the pennies are just showing the back side. Even the pennies which have both sides exposed show the back side on each face! Supposedly this is because the sculpture, Tom Otterness is an atheist and the front side of pennies has the phrase, "in God we trust." Tom Otterness is hated by some because in his early years he made a short indy film for which a got a dog from an animal shelter, tied it to a post and filmed himself shooting it.
