A bit disorganized especially paying for a large group of people (15+ people) at the Tispy Scientist package cost.
Arrived well before our 9pm session but we were not allowed to enter the venue until 9pm to start scanning our tickets and asking for IDs. Helpful reminder would be to message guests who book to remind them to bring their form of payment that they booked with. I just didn’t have it on me but we ended up finding another workaround.
Drink choices were limited. I don’t drink Tequila and was told all the pre-mixed cocktails had Tequila in them. I ended up choosing something anyway.
When we got to our tables, a few minutes later we were told to put on our lab coat. Several people at my table didn’t have a coat. So we had to ask for the missing ones. Then we were told to write a name down on the name tags. What name tags? We didn’t have any. So we had to wait on that.
Above the noise and loud music it was hard to hear some times when someone was speaking on the microphone. I suggest pausing the music when giving us instructions. Then we were told to throw away tags, syringes, and cups so we can begin our first experiment. I barely had time to finish my first drink.
Now because of the noise, I didn’t hear the instructions clearly for the cornstarch mixture. So for the two standing colored containers on the table, someone on the table chose to add unknown amounts of available water in it because we all had clue what to do. Making the point of the experiment useless for the rest of us on the table. Come to find out, we were supposed to have been given these glass bowls to make our mixtures with which none of us had on the table. Something else we had to ask for. But I’ll say this, that for the amount we each paid for this experience, we all should’ve received all supplies from the very beginning and not have to sit there and watch someone else sabotage it due to lack of clear instructions. At the very least, let each one of us figure it out with our own bowls and cornstarch mixtures. There were some other small bowls on the table filled with a dark powder, however we never received instructions for it and they were taken away eventually. At least not from what we were able to hear. Poor organization?
The frog dissection could have also been an option for all to partake in had they chosen to do it. But 2 frogs for 6 people on each table. Not exactly fair.
And due to timing, never got to request my second drink with my drink ticket.
Not exactly happy with the turnout of this place and event although I really wanted to enjoy it as well as all 15+ of us that went too while we were there to celebrate a...

While the core idea behind the activity has potential, the overall execution left much to be desired and raised several concerns. There are critical areas that need immediate attention and improvement.
To begin with, there was a noticeable lack of clear information provided beforehand. Participants were not adequately informed about what to expect, what materials would be used, or the potential risks involved. This created confusion and uncertainty from the start.
Even more concerning was the lack of proper safety precautions. There were insufficient guidelines in place to protect participants, and the necessary safety protocols either weren’t communicated or weren’t followed. As a result, an incident occurred that could have been prevented with better planning and oversight.
The execution of the activity itself felt disorganized and underdeveloped. While the concept was interesting, it was undermined by poor coordination, minimal instruction, and an overall sense of improvisation rather than preparedness.
In summary, this activity needs a complete reassessment—from the planning stages to the safety measures, and the way information is communicated. With proper enhancements, it could become something worthwhile. But in its current state, it’s not safe or effective enough to recommend without significant changes.
Attached are photos of the product used during the event that stained on to skin, and another that caused a chemical reaction. After talking to management they deemed it not a chemical reaction, but can say with absolute certainty this burned hole in skin was not there prior...
Read moreExtremely disappointed! Had an appointment to the fun lab for last Saturday. This was suppose to be a fun activity to kick off my 5 year old’s birthday celebration. Up until this point I had confirmation emails and even a couple text messages to confirm my appointment(one text occurring the day before). I’m thinking perfect, Noooo Problems, Right?! I show up early on the day of as the instructions recommended and to my surprise the business is closed. That’s odd, I thought. I ring the doorbell a couple times, then knocked on the door, rang the doorbell again, nothing. Ok, maybe they’re not opened yet, maybe we’re the first appointment. I call, no answer, I call a couple more times, no answer. My wife reaches out on instagram, radio silence. I use the chat feature on google, still nothing. So we stick around for roughly 15-20 minutes AFTER our appointment time, no one ever shows up! For good measure, I ring the doorbell a couple more times, unsuccessful. Well excuse the heck out of me, guess they’re not gonna show up or respond to any communication attempts. Now I have to break the news to my little one; if you’re a parent you could imagine the reaction. Now she’s disappointed and crying because she wanted to do science experiments! Thanks for nothing The Druken Laboratory. I emailed them requesting a refund.
They finally made contact on Sunday, offered an apology(no explanation given, however), confirmed that they refunded me and gave me a promo code for two free tickets. I feel like that kind of blunder isn’t one that inspires me even want to show up for free, so...
