The MJ Treatment Spa & Wellness — Attraction in New York

First let me say that I thought everything about the atmosphere was great. The receptionist was very nice, and Sara, my massage therapist was very pleasant as well. I booked a Fusion Mix Massage for 90 minutes because this was my first time coming and I didn't know exactly what option would be best. The Fusion Mix Massage is supposed to include a mix between a Swedish massage and a deep tissue massage. I gave my history and preferences of troubled areas to address before arriving. I also communicated the trouble areas that I wanted the primary focus to be with Sara. When the massage started Sara had the perfect pressure going and was addressing my back and neck as I expected. I gave feedback to let her know that I was enjoying it. Then about halfway through the massage the pressure got lighter and lighter. I asked her why the pressure changed, and that I like my massages to be a little more firm as it was in the beginning of the massage. Sara then began to explain to me that I chose a Fusion Mix Massage, and if I wanted a strictly deep tissue massage, then that's the option to choose on a future visit. She went on to say that the deep pressure she was giving me in the beginning was just to let me know what certain options feel like, but it was just a courtesy. I get massages very frequently and never experienced such a dissatisfying massage before. I've had 100% strictly Swedish massages (at least 50) at different establishments, and have yet to feel such light pressure. At one point I had to look up to see if she was awake, because it felt as if she fell asleep giving the massage due to how light the pressure was. I'm wondering if she got tired because the change was unexplainable. I was hoping that I could make The MJ Treatment my go to Spa because I live in the Bronx and was getting tired of traveling to Manhattan to get a massage. What I can't wrap my brain around is, that if a customer is expressing that they want something that could easily be accommodated, why not just make the customer happy. The difference in price between a 90 minute Fusion Mix Massage and a 90 minute Deep Tissue massage is $5 (five dollars). I would have been happy to pay that for a more pleasant experience. It just felt as if I was being nickel and dimed because I chose a package I wasn't familiar with. Unfortunately, I don't think I will return. I do not even really know where to start.... My gosh Bianca is freaking awesome. I had the pleasure of receiving an amazing swedish massage and reflexology from Bianca on Sunday the 13th of 2019. Bianca greeted me with a hand shake and a wonderful smile. I knew from here this was going to be good. Very pleasant and soothing voice Bianca also has along with her amazing hands. I have no complaints at all. I enjoyed every second of my 50 minutes with Bianca,it actually felt longer. Bianca was on point with everything asking me from time to time how I'm feeling and let here know if it's to much. During my session Bianca was very concern if i was feeling relax and stress numerous time to me its all about you feeling relaxed and enjoying the moment. I sure did!!! Bianca was flawless!!!!!!

Now about the place! When I arrived in my Lyft it took me a few minutes to get out because I couldn't beleive that this is the place. So I tripled checked my email to make sure even the Lyft driver was shocked and stated he lives close by and didn't know about this place. I stated to the driver the reviews are very good and this is what made me want to try and in the Bronx close to home. I'm a reviewer just in case you haven't notice. So I get to the entrance of this building and I see a desk and a man behind it and say to him I'm here for a massage. I had to sign In and then he shows me where i must go and buzzed me in. I'm like omg i don't know about this feeling a little weird. Let me tell you the only amazing fragrance that was coming from around the corner was so soothing and wonderful. I had a smile already. You will find large candles burning as soon as u turn the corner and candles on the floor really inviting. So I open the door to even a better aroma if possible and a wonderful receptionist so sorry I forgot her name but she was very professional and extremely nice and greated me with a smile as well. I felt very comfortable and couldnt believe the atmosphere at all. It was like being on 5th Avenue better than 5th Avenue!!! You just have to see this place for yourself you may be like hmmm at first but just follow the scent and you will have no regrets at all. I will return over and over again for sure. I just finished my 12 hour shift, i felt so burnt out, tired,stressed and achy. I decided to use my gift certificate that my daughter gave me 6 months ago, in fact i was having second thoughts of coming to MJ Treatment, because I have a back injury from a car accident and i am cautious from getting any kind of massage,thinking that it will make my pains worst. But my mind is telling me to just give it a shot, they have good reviews and so i finally tried. I walked in, the place is so neat and cozy, Casey was very helpful and friendly and have me seated, the relaxing mood is starting to sink in me, listening to a music of tranquility. Then I was introduced to my therapist that day, her name is Doreda, very nice lady, before we started my MJ TREATMENT EXPERIENCE , I shared to her my feelings of pains, tired and my injuries so that she would have an idea of how to handle my issues and to the biggest surprise of my life, after Dorie (she said this is how her family call her) did the MJ TREATMENT EXPERIENCE on me, I have felt so much relief from my pains especially on the area that i had my injury psins for almost a year, I mean soooo much relief that I don't know how to explain, Dorie's magical touch made me feel a different person ,on that same day I felt so energized, i feel like i can do another 12 hour shift at my job, I felt so much relief from my pains ...until now I can't stop talking to my family, friends and Colleagues at my job about. That's how CONFIDENT I am with MJ TREATMENT, I can TRUST them with my pains, we only have one body and we must treat it so special.
