All praise is due to Allah for establishing this masjid and enriching the world with the intellect and wisdom of its imams. Tracing their Islam in America back to African ancestors, and reinforcing their Islam with African-trained hafiz prayer leaders in Ramadan, the masjid offers a wholesome and redemptive experience, especially for those of African descent. All Muslims are welcome though (and yes there are regulars of every shade and background). If you're early enough to get a spot on Jumah Friday, it's better to expect to stay as the kutbas go for a good 45-55 worthy minutes and with the prayer and networking afterwards, don't expect to leave before 2:30. On the contrary to the former review, this musalah is in fact on the corner of St Nicholas and 115th Street. I happened by last month (September 2013).
