I give it a 5 stars rating because my sweet baby Maltese, Faith is nothing but a very active, and happy puppy. In August 2018, my boyfriend and I decided to get a puppy we could raise together. Came from California to vacation in Massachusetts, tried checking in a couple places but we seemed to not find the right pup so we drove 4 hours to get to this place where we saw a lot of cute little active pups that seemed well taken cared of to me. There was three people I had seen, a hispanic young lady who was really nice, a middle aged lady whom didnât really speak to us but she was coming in and out from the back with puppies, but lastly there was a guy that was actually just taking a nap. At this point, the hispanic lady was who was helping us with choosing a pup, she asked for ID, and let us interact with as many pups as we wanted (which btw, asking for ID is important because anyone can come in and supposedly want to purchase a pup and just end up running off and stealing them). I personally went there wanting to leave with a Shih-tzu or Yorkie since I already own a 2 year old Yorkie, but I wanted a girl and the Shih tzus were all males and the Yorkie I loved was so small (tcup), she was $1400 which we did not have. I was told the prices were $550+ depending on how small the pup is, so I decided to check out the Maltese, all Maltese were bigger so I thought maybe they will be cheaper. I asked to hold one I fell in love with but it was a HE and he was $1400 AS WELL because he was the smallest! So I asked for females, the hispanic lady didnât see any females in the front so as Iâm waiting with my lover, thatâs when this young lady walks out with a small little Maltese girl, once I held her I said âThis is her, This is my Faith.â After attempting to play with her for a bit and just holding our new baby to get used to us because she was so shy, we told the lady we were taking her and how much. Like I already mentioned before, I was told the prices go up by size, the first Maltese pup I held he was $1400 bc he could fit in the palm of my hand, he was easily the runt, a very active one though. Now my baby Faith, she was small but she wasnât the smallest, so we ended up paying $1150 for her which at the time made us think for a while, but we made the right choice because Faith was WORTH IT. My experience with the store was pleasant and nice, as someone that worked a really long time with a local breeder before at their store where animals were all day in cages, always smelled, half the mommy dogs were sick or going blind, the place SMELLED terrible, the dogs were treated like garbage... I can honestly say this place PASSES the test bc the moment you walk in you see and you KNOW the place is clean. My baby is really healthy, sheâs happy, sheâs active, sheâs a VERY curious pup, Took her to the vet to make sure she was a good healthy pup and she is, the Vet loves her and all the workers at the vet do as well because this little girl is just friendly with everyone she meets. I have no negatives about the place, except that I didnât get to see who my babyâs parents were, but thatâs okay now because everyone that looks through Faithâs paper work always says âYour breeder had everything well taken care of, everything is up to date. They did a good job.â So as long as my baby is healthy and happy, not seeing the parents doesnât matter! Thank you to the workers that were there on August 11th, 2018. You all have given me a beautiful furbaby, healthy and thatâs honestly the only thing I worried about. I will soon drive there again one day to purchase another, either Shih tzu or Yorkie, See...
Read moreBe careful buying your puppy from this place. They will tell you that the dogs have there vaccines and that youâll only need two more shots before the puppy will be able to go out. I spent $1,400 on my puppy under the assumption that my puppy has all its vaccines. And when I went to the vet by petco, the vet had told me the medical records arenât valid and that I would have to redo his a few of his vaccination because this place gave the vaccine to him to early. And that itâs doesnât work that early. And then I called the manager of this establishment, and him and his team said that they can give this specific vaccine early as three weeks. And blamed petco for lying and that they always do this when it comes to this establishment. I wanted a second opinion, so I called another vet clinic and they said the same thing that pet co did. And the vaccines arenât supposed to be giving till 6-16 weeks. And that breeders and sellers will do this to be able to sell them. So please be careful and mindful on this specific place , youâll spend over $1000 under the assumption that your puppy is fully vaccinated and they are not and youâll have to come more out of pocket for the shots that was supposedly âdoneâ.
Edit(response to ownerâs reply) Iâm a âidiotâ from what the owner of this establishment has stated bc I did go to petco for my puppyâs final vaccinations, but clearly this owner didnât read the entire review clearly stating that I had also called another vet clinic in my area to get a second opinion on the specific vaccine that I had to re-do. And the vet had stated the same exact thing petco said about the timing of shots and when they are supposed to be done. The specific shot that was re-done is called a bordetella vaccine thatâs not supposed to be done till about 6-8 weeks stated both by petco and by an actually veterinary doctor. My puppyâs shot records state that his vaccines were done at 4 weeks. And not at 6-8 weeks when it shouldâve be done. So now, I am still out of pocket $200 dollars. Even tho I had signed a contract with this establishment under the pretense that all the vaccines were already done and I would only need to get two more vaccines before my puppy will be allowed to walk outside. And I paid over $1400 for my puppy that was supposed to include all of his shots. So I still stand by my opinion to be careful buying from this place especially since the owner doesnât know how to talk to people and like to give there puppies vaccines before there supposed to be giving them . Even the owner had stated in his/her reply stating that the breeders give the puppies vaccines at 6 weeks. But my vaccine records that was giving to me at the purchase of my puppy, states the vaccine was giving at 4 weeks and not 6-8 weeks like both petco and a actual veterinary doctor had said when the shot should be giving. This place is just money hungry and will continue to be . This place is very unethical. Please do your research before making a decision to buy your future puppy here. Luckily my pup is very healthy and no complications or concerning...
Read moreI have to be honest, I have read many negative reviews about this company and I do understand there have been some horror situation and perception is everything. Of something goes wrong it's a bad review but nobody ever gives a good review when things go well which is most of the time. So let me say that today I purchased by 3rd dog from puppy boutique. Two Yorkshires and today was a maltipoo. Both Yorkshires are doing well. One is 12 and the other is 14. I was given great treatment this morning and given what was promised to me and I must say nothing was easy due to the Covid situation and the amount of people looking to purchase dogs at the same time from a place that is only open one day a week due to regulations. They did a great job keeping me in the loop as to how many dogs came in, what kind of dogs came and and what to expect when I get there in terms of the lines and having to wait. They made it as comfortable and quick as possible. Once the paperwork was complete and it was finally time to take your dog, they did a great job explaining the do's and dont's, what to expect, reviewed the paperwork quickly and also stated they will follow up tomorrow with a phone call to review the paperwork, do a check up and answer any questions we have. Our dog loves our home and everything so far has worked out just as planned. I want to thank puppy Boutique and Lisa in particular for doing exactly what she said she would do and didn't lie to me or exaggerate the situation. Thank you again guys. As usual, I will always refer a family member of friends here. It's unfortunate with reviews because people only seek to leave negative reviews when things don't go as planned or if something goes wrong which does happen. They do sell 6,000 to 7,000 dogs a year so your gonna have some issues here and there. That's common, but for the most part thjngs go as planned and there are many happy new dog owners that Do Not leave a review and because of that when people start looking at reviews and feel over whelmed by only negative reviews,.now you know why. Take it from someone who purchased 3 seperate dogs from them over the course of the last 14 years at different times up until today August 6th, 2020. So thank you again guys. This is from John from Staten Island. My two Yorkshires were named Rascal and Teddy and now my Maltipoos name is Gino. Lol my gangster maltipoo for my mom who lost her Maltese back in March and is now excited as ever to have this dog and bring it with her to Florida 4 times a year as she did with her old dog. God bless you all and keep up the good work. Always remember, you will never make everyone happy, but nobody can stop you or blame you for trying.
Warm Regards,
John from...
