Unfortunately I had a poor experience at the lounge this morning, after being a Polaris customer on my Buenos Aires overnight flight to Houston (landing at 5am this morning) and then connecting from Houston to LaGuardia (typical seat on an RJ/ only seats left on the cancellations from thunderstorms out of Texas) I was turned away from entering the LGA Lounge. My Polaris seat should have allowed me access to all lounges on all parts of my journey home to NYC especially with the many cancellations, rescheduling, rebooking same day, etc. Especially that happened today out of Texas. I had no problem entering the lounges in Newark nor Houston there and back, and my Polaris ticket allows me access from all connections and arrivals but it wasn’t the case this afternoon in LGA. I was hoping to freshen up before logging on a work few calls this afternoon from the lounge and before my hour Uber back to the city with traffic, but was thrown through this loop. I’m a long time lover of United and have never had this issue before. Perhaps because I’m young I wasn’t taken seriously, who knows, either way wanted to share my...
Read moreAbsolutely not. If you can avoid United airlines do it. They are an absolute disaster. And their customer service is non-existent. They left me stranded in Houston and have been fighting me for a refund for a month. Not to mention I put in for a for the money I had to spend because they cancel a flight due to not having a crew and they only issued me half. I had to take a bus 6 and a half hours. My total accrued costs to get where I was going was well over 400 bucks but that's all I asked from them. They gave me 200. And still haven't refunded the flight. Also talking on the phone to their "customer service" they literally lied to me multiple times, even speaking with supervisors. I will never go near a united airline again. This is also not to mention I booked first class on the way back and they changed our seats at the last second and we had to get that all straightened out while boarding the plane. Do not use united....

The food offered was decent—nothing particularly stood out, but it did the job of keeping hunger at bay during my layover. However, the highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the lemon drop martini. While this cocktail has become a trendy staple, not every place nails the execution. I was pleasantly surprised that United Airlines Club did, and I enjoyed two back-to-back without hesitation. They were perfectly balanced, with just the right sweetness and tartness—a delightful surprise that I’ll remember.
In summary, the ambiance and food might not blow you away, but you won't be disappointed if you’re in the mood for a well-made lemon...
