I tried to eat here but apparently I wasn't allowed to have a normal chicken sandwich with lettuce and tomato. I'm allergic to pickles and I hate bacon. And I asked again I have it with no pickles and lettuce and tomato. This girl just stared at me and said "you csn have a plain chicken sandwich or with pickles or you can buy on of the other sandwiches that has lettuce and tomato but then take off the bacon" Hold up what?? I said can I just have lettuce and tomato and not pickles or bacon please and she goes "it's a 2.99 up charge" I said okay I'll pay for it. Then she still told me why don't I just get another sandwich. I asked dher why is it so hard to get a chicken sandwich lettuce and tomato if one of your sandwiches that has chicken already has it?? Then she just stared at me. Terrible service, probably terrible food anyway. Why would anyone want to eat at a place with such horrible customer service skills? I worked in fast food plenty and it's not that hard to substitute. I will be letting every single person I meet from now on don't eat there and I'm gonna leave other reviews on other sites just to make sure people will see this and rethink eating at this...

After receiving news that my flight was delayed, I then decided to walk around and grab a bite. The Menu at HILL COUNTRY looked interested so I went there. The food was amazing the brisket was nice and juicy, The customer service lady I believe her name is Jabun was very professional. After reaching for my soft drinks I noticed it was a bit warm and started feeling for colder bottles. She took notice and offered cups of ice so I can enjoy a nice cool drink.

Thanks JabunSo, I had a bit of a delay with my flight, and instead of sitting around, I decided to explore and grab a bite. I stumbled upon this place called HILL COUNTRY, and the menu looked really good. I decided to give it a try. The food was absolutely amazing! The brisket was so juicy and flavorful. And the customer service lady, I think her name was Jabun, was super friendly and professional. When I reached for my soft drinks, I noticed they were a bit warm. So, I started looking for colder bottles. Jabun noticed and offered me cups of ice, which was a nice touch. It made my drink even better....

Food was better than expected for the airport food court!

Very crispy hot honey chicken sandwich- I just didn't like that you have to pay extra for lettuce and tomato... Otherwise it comes plain with just bread and meat (I didn't find this hot at all, but I admittedly have a better than avg spicy tolerance). Would love if they introduced a more veggie involved version (lettuce, tomato, cheese, pickles etc.) that was actually hot!

I also got the waffle fries and honestly they were amazing. I prefer skinnier fries and usually find waffle fries ok because they're too thick / I like the crunchy ratio to soft potato better in regular straight cut fries. But these waffle fries are thinner than standard (*ahem Chick-fil-A) and quite crunchy! House made sweet tea was ... Too sweet, unsurprisingly.

One thing I hated was the packaging for the sandwich .. it comes in a plastic clamshell, plastic??? Why 😭 who does this in this day and age, switching to cardboard boxes would be an improvement. Please get with the times 🙏🏽 otherwise food is good...

Even though this spot was not my first choice, I was still excited to order from here because I never tried their food before. Plus, it was actually my first time ordering food from Queens period as I am not from NYC. Then, I got the worst chicken & waffles ever from this place. The chicken was not fresh AT ALL and it tasted very hard. It tasted like I was biting into large chunks of sugar in the waffles and they were not flattering on any level. I spent so much money on the food so I forced myself to eat what I order. I always try to give new spots a chance but I really regret not going to Wendy’s even though we have one back at home. This restaurant and Wendy’s were among the few choices that I had at the airport because the other ones were either closed or ran out of what I wanted. I would have rather starved over wasting my money. Also, I noticed that the kitchen kept messing up other people’s orders and that was slowing down the service. 😢😢😢 The only thing that helped carry this terrible meal was their lemonade which I enjoyed.

Quite unfortunate because I had high hopes that this place had affordable food and some solid reviews. I ordered the hot honey chicken and I was super disappointed. My bread was practically rock solid, to where it felt like my gums were being chopped up. The chicken itself was extremely dry, almost as if it was microwaved. The “hot honey” was not even spicy, and the only reason I gave it 3 stars is because the lady at the front was so sweet when I was ordering, and they were quick with bringing out the food.
