Today while waiting for my flight back to Los Angeles I went to this establishment and TRIED to order 2 tacos One chicken one carne asada with meat and cheese ONLY. the girl at the register said you want 2 orders meaning 4 tacos, I said no I want the 2 tacos! I asked Can I get one chicken and one carne asada with cheese only she finally rang up my order totaling $17 and some change because I also ordered a coke, I had to use my card apparently it’s cashless. I stood over to the side and she asked for my name and said they would call my name when it’s ready! Well 14 minutes go by so I get up and go back over to see why my order is taking so long! I forgot to mention I’m also handicap! When I get to the counter she’s helping someone I look back to where the cook is and it looks like he’s on his phone so I look in the counter next to him and I see a bowl that looks like it could be my food, I say out loud how long does it take to make 2 cheese tacos and one of the boys that also works at that place said well you are not the only one That ordered tacos in an extremely condisending time! I said I who are you talking to, I didn’t ask who else is waiting, I said that’s probably my food on that counter and while He’s continuing To be rude the girl that took my order goes to the area that the bowl of food was and brings it to the counter and puts it in a bag and tells me it’s ready, I looked at the boy and said I knew it was my food just sitting there. Well I looked in the bag and all you could see was onions and cilantro and NOT one drop of cheese, I said I asked for cheese only she said you asked that when you ordered the 4 tacos, I said I never ordered 4 I asked for 2 and I asked for cheese Only she’s rolling her eyes and laughing and said oh well I said what do you mean oh week I said I need you to correct this order that I already paid for, at this time my flight is ready to board, I need to east to take my medication and my daughter walks to the counter next to me because from where she was she could see there was a situation, she told her either fix my order or give us a refund because now it’s time to board and tells her her customer service is horrible, now she takes my order to the cook and she literally gave my daughter the middle finger my daughter is extremely upset about that and Her and the girl Margarita are going back and forth at each other The cook asked me to come and explain, I’m explaining to him while she’s still rolling her eyes, laughing and waving me off! Now he offers to remake it, I said I don’t have another 15 minutes to wait my plane is boarding now just give me a refund because at this point I would never patronize a place that treated me so rudely! The cook goes to the register and is trying to give me my refund meanwhile my daughter and Margarita the cashier are still going back and forth, My Daughter said what’s your mane and she covered her badge, my daughter took out her phone and began to do exactly as everyone else in this day and age and record, I said that’s right Record because she’s gonna go viral, then the girl threw an entire glass of water on my daughter who was STILL recording her and recorded her throwing the water, my daughter put her phone in her pocket and Her and the girl started fighting, breaking wine bottles and all! They were separated the security came barely took our statement and got our identification literally our entire plane had already boarded so we had to rush to make our flight which it’s hard for me to rush considering I’m in a Ankle Boot and on a knee stroller! My daughter has NEVER had a fight in her life, she was embarrassed getting water thrown on her in public in the Airport. that girl was the epitome of rude and poor customer service a horrible attitude and throwing water at my Daughter was also an assault! I will be seeking legal counseling...
Read moreLet me start by saying the food is good, so it's unfortunate my overall experience was not. The music was soooo loud, truly gave me a headache and I'm not old or anything.
But mainly the bartender/ server made the experience two stars for me for the following reasons: Truly was not pleasant- did not greet you when you sat, did not give you an opportunity to sit/ settle in with your bags (it's an airport, people have bags!!) before asking what you want to drink Similarly, didn't even get a minute to look at the menu. They brought the drink over and instantly asked what I want to order. Didn't ask if I wanted a refill on my drink the entire time Or if I needed anything at all, let alone my eye contact for me to ask for it. Brought my bill over without asking if I was even ready for it and I had half my food left to eat still. I get it, if you are trying to turn over barstools but there were plenty of empty stools. Came over three separate times, minutes apart, to open the folder with the bill in it to see if I paid. Meanwhile I'm still eating, my hands are not clean, and not once did I ask for my bill yet. Don't rush people while they are eating!...

So there I was, standing in Terminal B of Laguardia, wondering where I can get a quick bite to eat before my connection so I do a quick Google search and see that La Chula is highly rated. So I wander over and let me say first impression - this place is classy! It seems like the type of place that would have disposable glassware, MADE OF GLASS! The bar was hopping, understandably, but to my luck a table was getting up right as I wanted to sit down. I immediately find myself in what can only be an episode of Undercover Boss! The waiter - no - the legend Gustavo is serving half the terminal! The Paloma may have been invented in Mexico but it was perfected in Laguardia! I was told the tacos took 15 minutes and was able to literally set my watch to the time! Most people discount airport food, but I'll schedule a layover just to stop by!
