We Got Lites — Attraction in New York

Purchased an entryway chandelier from them back in early March and finally got it installed just now.

While they don’t offer installation options they provided recommended electricians. I went with one of their recommendations and he showed up with too short of a scaffolfing after he previously measured himself. They couldn’t complete the job and upon breaking down the scaffolding they damaged my tile. They said they would come back and fix the tile when they come back to finish the install. They cancelled the follow up appointment and then gave a fake excuse of personal issues for why they won’t be able to finish the job and ghosted me on fixing the tile.

I contacted WeGotLites about the major issue I had with their recommended contractor and they offered zero help or resolution. I even wanted to return the chandelier and they wouldn’t let me do that either. Extremely poor customer service and would not recommend to anyone who won’t be installing the fixtures themselves as they dont offer in house installation and also can’t provide competent recommendations.

Over 3 months later and damaged tile and they basically could care...

Avoid at all costs. The 'professional' took my actual cabinet makers floor-plan for under cabinet lighting but failed to order lights that actually fit UNDER the cabinet so my 30 inch cabinets got 30 inch lights. He assured me to put myself in his hands and I will be thrilled. When I went to install I was anything but. I called him and he agreed it was his mistake and I told him I wanted a refund. I did give him 3 days to make this work but he kept pushing me off until I ordered exactly what I wanted online. He assured there would be no problem but when I went to store with the lights he told me he was ONLY going to charge me 10% restocking fee and it is normally 25%. The nerve on this guy to try and make a fool out of me. I took the lights back and will call my credit card company to do it the long way. Funny thing is my wife had 3 fans in her sights and would have easily spent $1200 more IF this was handled correctly. I try and buy local and from small people and I hate when I get mistreated like this. Professional?...

In visiting the showroom on Industrial Loop I was immediately impressed by the knowledgeable presentation of Mr. Michael Cammarata. He wasn’t “pushy” or “insistent” as salespersons can be. He inquired as to my needs and explained the aesthetic and qualitative advantage of LED lighting for the space I had in mind. He showed me different samples of ceiling fixtures until I was comfortable with a particular one. On his own personal time he visited my home and took accurate measurements. He personally delivered the items at my convenience when the order was complete and discussed removal of the current 44 year old fixtures and options for installers. He assumed the labor-intensity of the entire process leaving me to simply enjoy the lighting upgrade. I highly recommend WeGotLites for quality of product and service. Michael Cammarata is an asset to this establishment and should be commended by his superiors for his proactivity...
