The WORST customer service experience. I don't recommend any personal training here. Please don't fall for their sales pitch, they only mean business. When you first come to look at the gym, they pretty much say anything to sign you up for personal training. Please don't fall for it. I was dumb enough to believe everything they said. The gym representative who was showing me around, pointed out to the swimming pool and said that they have good swimming trainers and state of the art swimming pool. And that I can get a really good deal if I sign-up for personal training (swim lessons) right now. I believed him, he did not even take me inside the pool because there was some session going on at that time. I was very hesitant initially but then again I had plans of taking swim lessons soon anyway. I mentioned to him that I'm not ready for swim lessons right now, but he specifically mentioned that I can pay for personal training now, and use it any time in the next 8 months and that I'll get a good deal if I sign-up for it today. And if I'm not satisfied after trying it out, I can get the money back in a month. It was my bad, I fell for it. I paid for personal training(swimming lessons).
I'm a fitness freak, I go to gym 4 times a week at least. But haven't started my swim lessons here yet. I already know the basics of swimming, so I went there one day, just by myself to get a feel of the swimming pool. To my surprise, the swimming pool is 5 feet deep. I had no clue about that until I got into the pool that day. I've already taking swim lessons in a shallow pool like this one, I was able to learn the basic strokes, but that didn't give me enough confidence to jump in a lake.
I went back to the manager and said that this pool won't work for me. I prefer a deeper pool. He said he will find out if 24 hour fitness anywhere else has any deeper pool and that he can transfer me there. 2 months passed, no one got back to me. Ultimately when I reached out to them again, the same manager @Adam says that they do not have deeper swimming pools anywhere and that they cannot even refund the money I paid for the lessons. He was forcing me to take some training, but cannot refund even a portion of what I paid. I did not even take a single swimming lesson here. I said I want to go somewhere where they have deeper swimming pools and make better use of that money. They just don't care. Why would they, I paid for all the lessons already! The ball is in their court! It's such a waste of everything.
I like the gym, no complains about that. But if you are looking for Personal training, I recommend finding a place where they value client's investment, both time and money. Find a place where they focus on meeting customer's goals and not...
Read moreI've been a motivation coach for over 10 years lost hundreds of pounds throughout the years. In so many ways the gym has saved my life and given me the physical freedom I've always dreamed of. I was very blessed to meet Gino in the beginning of the year, he helped relight that fire I was missing for many years. Multiple machines broken since March of this year. This gym does not embody gym culture what so ever, no brotherhood or sisterhood of encouragement just entitled people that are extremely rude that feel its inappropriate to ask how many sets left. I'm just met with the answer comeback in 30 minutes, what happened to sharing and working in. I made the mistake of asking the master trainer Mahnaz, I believe that's her name, a few weeks back how many sets she had left and she refused to answer me and now she waits for any opportunity to rush to me and sarcastically asked how many untill I'm done. This is not what gym culture is about. And you shouldn't treat paying members that way. Thank you Matt, Ken, Gino and Rhay for always making me and my wife feel welcomed. You 4 truly make a difference in peoples lives and don't ever think your positive attitudes and efforts don't go unnoticed because of you 4, I don't feel like I thew away the $328 I paid for. I paid the full year up front my 1st day! I'm also down 40lbs since signing up for this gym. If the 24hrs staff has any questions about my character Google "DADBODJOEY." Personally i think the general manager needs to be replaced. IMO she doesn't care about the condition or up keep of the facility and I haven't heard one good thing about her from one employee. Mahnaz the "master trainer" is everything wrong with new gym culture, entitled and acts as if what she is doing is more important than others. Like who says you can't use a machine for 30 minutes? When did that become a thing? Imagine if everyone had that attitude, only 48 people a day would be able to use it. I've made life long friends in the gym by working in together and sharing equipment with strangers. Thank you to Matt, Rhay, Gino and Ken, yall truly are what gym culture is about. The female gm and master trainer Mahnaz need to find a new Profession. Because they are slowly destroying a facility that has so...
Read moreThis gym is located to the left of Macy's directly across from McDonald's. Staff is friendly. Fully stocked beverage fridge. Cardio is downstairs. Weights and machines are upstairs. The upstairs layout is a bit interesting. At the top of the stairs, there is the entrance to the studio which can lead to a long line blocking the stairwell when there is a class that is about to start. If you look to the right behind you, there is 2 adjustable arm Life Motion cable machines side by side located in front of a mirror with a row of dumbbells. Directly in front of the stairwell are only 3 powerlifting stations which are taken up quite quickly and the football field. The upstairs is a long and somewhat narrow format which then opens up towards the end where the bench presses, Smith machine and other chest/back equipment is located. One thing I appreciate and is most noticeable about this gym is the amount of hand sanitizer, disinfectant spray bottles and paper towels this facility provided. They had a station at each major workout area that contained 3 tiered baskets that carried all the essentials which encouraged patrons to comply and wipe down machines and be safe. This gym is noticeably hotter than most gyms since the lifting area is on the top surrounded by windows with the blinds open but it's better than having a gym that's like a jail cell. No comment in regards to the bathrooms as I did not use them. Parking is shared with the mall and the parking lot of the first 2 rows are under construction but there is still plenty. Do not expect to have your car in the shade unless you are willing to walk. I only deducted the 1 star simply because of the long narrow layout and the lack of powerlifting stations (in comparison, Mountain View California Ave have 4, San Mateo Boven, Redwood City and Sunnyvale have 6, San Carlos and Fremont Auto Mall have 2). Otherwise, it is the cleanest gym and people appear to respect...
