What a great experience! After visiting the duty free shop and purchasing a very cool Dead Guy Ale zip up hoody and a quality Dead Guy Ale beanie, we enjoyed a wonderful lunch in the restaurant. Our server was Juan. He was friendly, attentive and very informative, even though he was also busy with a table of 22 guests at the same time! Juan offered us a sampling of two different ales, one of which was a hit! The Pineapple Punch Ale was not quite our taste but much more pleasant than I would have imagined. The Dreamland American Lager was delicious! Paired with a shot of Rouge River Straight Rye Malt Wiskey ( sooo smooth and tasty )$12 paired, was a delightful treat! The food..OMG! I ordered the Northwest Garden Salad. A generous and beautiful presentation! Fresh and absolutely delicious! The house made basil vinaigrette is something that I will crave for the rest of my life!!! I fully enjoyed every bite! They can't sell it In a bottle because it's made fresh. My new project will be to try to re-create it at home. Wish me luck! My guy ordered the Dead Guy Fish and Chips. I had to sneak just one bite..even though my diet plan does not include fried foods..can I just say..if there is a heaven....the best, lightly battered, fresh flakey halibut that just melts in your mouth! He also ordered a cup of their clam chowder, also not in my diet plan but, again..had to sneak a bite..I could just melt. So, so good! From the superior service to the tip top quality of the food, this was truly a pleasurable dining experience. When I received the bill, under $60, I couldn't help recall the many dining experiences at that price point that did not come close in every respect. If you have an opportunity to visit and dine at Rouge River Brewing Nation,...
Read moreI was excited to take my sister here last weekend because I had been once before and it was a great experience with good food. I unfortunately cannot say the same for this visit. We arrived just before a big lunch rush and the hostesses acted like they didn't want to be there. After waiting more than 25 minutes (which is what we were told when we arrived) we noticed several parties (the same size as ours) that arrived after us were being seated so we asked where we were on the list and it had turned out they had accidentally crossed us off the list. I have no idea how this happens but not cool....We never once received an apology for the mistake. Then after being seated we had asked for a kids menu and waited another 10-15 minutes just for a kids menu which we only received after my sister got up and went downstairs to get one because we were told they didn't have any upstairs. Again no apology. Once the waitress finally acknowledged us she began setting down the "taste of the day" an IPA without even asking if we wanted it and asked if everyone here was over 21 as she looked at my 12 year old niece! So long story short we were off to a rocky start and the food was not something to impress. Soggy breaded halibut, hamburger that couldn't stay together, fried cheese curds with more breading than cheese. Our drinks were never refilled, the only time we could get the waitress' attention was when she was dropping off our food. I can't say I wouldn't give them a second chance because I am giving them the benefit of the doubt that the poor service was just because "they were busy" but I also probably won't be recommending it...

Coastie, who put your shorts in a twist? You speak a big game. But, geesh, you must be insufferable in person. Do you talk to people like that in the real world?
Miko, you aren’t going to change the menu. But I appreciate you lobbing that grenade at them. Good show!
Quinn, you are a hoot! You got some good phrases. I just wonder what you do when you are left alone, in silence. I suspect you repeat your reviews to yourself, do a big chest thump, and then pet your cat.
Sara, thank you for your (food) service. Seems like you might be having some kid issues.
Most recent visit was last week. The staffing issues are, well, an issue. They have a full area downstairs to seat customers. They don’t. So, you wait. Thing is, once you get seated it is a fine enough experience. Servers range from interested to almost catatonic. The menus is, well, average. The serving sizes are pretty good for the price. The views are of the harbor and bridge. They can’t really change that.
My group of six had a good afternoon here. Rogue beer is Rogue beer. This location is not a sacred temple. They are looking to make money. And you should understand that before you step in. If you want to whine about ‘authenticity’, you might need to start rethinking your POV. With craft beer in the skids, supporting some of the OGs makes more sense than whining like you are a homebrew knight. But that’s the rub, right? You can complain all you want. And it feels good. Oh so good. Hope you are enjoying the rush.
Still a good...
