Virginia Glass House & Mirror — Attraction in Norfolk

I contacted Brian on Nov. 13th after reading his reviews and having 3 previous Contractors come out in which 2 were unable to do the job due to the difficulties of getting the glass in the existing form of the China Cabinet. The other company I felt was way to expensive and just trying to hit me over the head, as they knew this was a piece of furniture that got broken in shipment and belonged to my recently deceased mother and was very sentimental to me. So, it was a relief to finally have someone to come out, review the job and advise it could be done. My scheduled appointment was on Nov. 15th at 9 am. It was 9:15 am and Brian had not showed up or called. I then reached out to him to confirmed if he was still coming. He asked my name and had not a clue who I was until he grabbed his other appt book. Then he said Yes, I have you for 9 am. I advised it's 9:20. He said he was only 15 minutes away. This should have been a red flag. He came out shortly after to review the job. I shared with him that 2 other contractors said it was too difficult, the other was extremely high and said it would take a lot of man hours. Brian said, it's just glass it's not that difficult. Music to my ears!! Finally some good news. After Brian shared some of his personal life stories, and insight on his business and how he downsized, and was now just a one man show. I was compelled to give him my business. He said he could have the job down within a week, and advised he would send me the written estimate for my review after 2pm that day. Well, to date I have not received the estimate. I have reached out to him several times, only to get a recording that states his mailbox is full and unable to receive any more messages. I have texted him and gotten no response. I have even called him from another number. I am never one to bash an individual or a business " Unless" it is warranted. This is certainly warranted. Doing business with a one man show is risky, and I will not be wasting my time again. Take it from me, do business with a Company that has a large enough overhead that they have the manpower to not only do the job but they have office personal that can take calls, answer questions, and set the appointments. I have contacted yet another company that is scheduled for tomorrow. Hopefully, this one...

Brian and Leslie are the best! Customer service A+ hands down - something that is a lost art these days. I went in to get two small pieces of glass made for mirrors that I was mounting on the wall. When I walked in, Leslie greeted me with a smile. I explained to her what I wanted and she told me to leave the mirror there and they would have the glass made and I could pick up the following day. While I was there, I asked her if they fixed windows. She said yes! I explained that I had three windows that were broken - two were cracked and one kept slamming down hard. I was afraid that one of the kids fingers would get caught in it. She told me that would be no problem and scheduled me the next day to have someone come out to evaluate. When Brian came out, he brought my mirror that I had left and the glass he made and cut for me! How generous! After he measured and looked at my windows, he told me that he could fix them and scheduled me out for the following week. While he was here fixing my windows, I asked him if he could measure for two mirrored shelves. He did and had them ready for me the next day! I have to tell you these people are kind, prompt, and their work is impeccable! I really, really appreciate them. I've already recommended them to my sister and two...

Update to the first review: During the installation of the glass, my guy chipped one of the pieces and it could not be used. Brian once again came to my rescue. I texted him the info (late in the afternoon), and he had the new piece ready in the morning. Great service at a great price. What more could you ask for?! Five Stars... I found out about Brian oddly enough from a guy at Lowes. This guy is my new personal hero! Had to have several (6) custom pieces of glass cut for a project. Not only was the price way better than the other quotes I had obtained, but the turnaround time was amazing. I placed the order in the morning and was able to pick them up that afternoon. I was able to text him the dimensions so there was no confusion on the measurements. I prefer texting the info instead of trying to be heard in a noisy shop or a bad cell phone connection. Awesome!
