My daughter bought a 2007 Honda CRV and did not have a chance to take it for a vehicle inspection until a couple weeks after purchase. We didn't feel immediate pressure to do so based upon reassurance the car had been inspected by their auto mechanics. A massively expense mistake we will never make again. They sold her a car with an uncommunicated and poorly re-welded transmission along with 2 springs that were cracked. She paid $9,000 for a vehicle two separate, trusted auto shops have both said was unsafe to sell and unsafe to drive. Based upon conversation that said the car had been inspected prior to sale, I find this beyond reprehensible and unconscionable. Upon contacting AutoTx, the response was less than satisfactory - "what do you want me to do?". I'd have found it acceptable to say 'we had to rebuild or weld the transmission' when discussing the car - but knowingly withholding the information and the utter callousness once the sale was concluded tends toward purposefully unethical.
She had 2 friends also looking for used vehicles and fortunately we were able convey the experience so that they have begun their search toward more reputable dealerships.
Needless to say I am dissatisfied with both the dealership and whatever mechanic they employ that did the inspection and/or welding.
I find the reply "bring it to our service center so we can see what the issue was ourselves" on the disingenuous side. The affront taken was that the issue was known beforehand [i.e., there should be no need to take it back to a service center that already claimed it was inspected]. How can that be trusted? There was no commitment to make the situation right, nothing stated that we will weld it anew with guarantee of work. What was communicated in that exchange to repair breach of trust? If it truly had been inspected by the service center prior to selling, 2 cracked springs would have been impossible to miss. More blatant was not communicating the transmission had been rewelded w/ epoxy and not done well since it is already leaking transmission fluid. I can almost even overlook the coil springs - it's the noncommunication of a rebuilt or rewelded transmission that rubs the wrong way. That should have been discussed up front since it's obviously going to change the price. Few people would knowingly pay 9K to immediately put 5k in such circumstances. You can cast whatever aspersions you desire, but that does not change the wrong within this...
Read moreLet me first say very nice Guys I spoke on the phone with. I asked the guy did he had a vehicle which was a 2011 Jeep grand Cherokee with a 5.7 v8. When I arrived, a guy has stopped what he was doing to a vehicle that came straight to Me and a friend and presented his hand out With Welcome. He persuaded me to test drive the Jeep, which had very clean interior. When I came back, my friend told me the owner is a good guy and he’s a family man. The price that was listed on the Jeep I couldn’t afford, but I wanted it bad. So the owner had came up with a deal that we finalized and was willing to help fix a headlight bulb that was out. It was really good service for both of these guys, and I will be looking forward and purchasing more vehicles from the two guys.
So if you need a good vehicle, come here. Plus next-door he has a shop that he also fix vehicles and he also offers a lot of detailing opportunities and bodywork, opportunities, and modification opportunities. Take my word for it. This is...
Read moreDrove 2 hours to check out a car on this lot- Was not disappointed! By my own miraculous luck, they were without power the first time I made the trip so they could not make any sales, but they still let me test drive the car. I loved it so they agreed to hold the car for me until I was able to come back a week later. They stayed true to their word and were very friendly people to do business with! I also had a trade in and I was satisfied with their efforts to meet the trade in's value. Would highly recommend...
